2014 - Organ Solo
The 2014 competition - The 18th International Edvard Grieg Competition
for Composers - is for organ solo.
Oslo Grieg Society invites composers from all over the world to write
"variations for organ solo on a theme by Grieg". No age limit.
Total playing time: Maximum 10 minutes.
Latest day of sending the score is February 15th 2014.
There is no registration form.
Send the score as a pdf file by e-mail to:
The pdf score should include a short comment on your composition.
Important: To ensure your anonymity to the jury, please make sure that
your pdf score is NOT marked with your name.
In the same e-mail, please provide the following information (which will
not be available to the jury):
1. your contact information (name, address, e-mail, phone) and a photo
of yourself
2. a short description of your life, studies and works
A non refundable fee of EURO 60,- must be paid in your bank before we
accept your contribution. No checks please.

Winners:
The results will be published on March 1st 2014.
The winning composer will be awarded EURO 1500,-
Three or more finalist works will be performed at the Oslo Grieg Festival
2014.
The concert will take place on Sundag 11 May at 19:30 in the Oslo
Cathedral.
The works will be performed by renowned Norwegian organists on the
cathedral's main organ.

3rd prize: Uno Alexander Vesje, Norway (listen)
