1 eduroam – Windows Setup Overview The following documentation shows the process of getting your Windows device setup to connect to the eduroam wireless network. The screenshots below are taken from Windows 10, but the process should be identical for older supported versions of Windows. Note: To install the needed software, administrator privileges are required. Step 1 Open a browser and navigate to https://fgcu.edu/wifi. Select the “Get Connected” button (this will redirect to an external website hosted by SecureW2 at cloud.securew2.com. This is a trusted website and part of the onboarding process). Step 2 Click the “JoinNow” button. Note: The software will automatically detect what version of Windows you’re running on your computer. Step 3 The software will begin downloading to your computer. Step 4 When the download has completed, navigate to the folder where the software downloaded and double- click the “fgcu_eduroam_installer.exe” file to begin the installation process. Note: You will likely be prompted to verify that you wish to run the file. You need administrative privileges to run this file. Step 5 Tap “Next” to continue. This will launch the Single Sign-On page in a browser. Step 6 Type your FGCU network credentials in the username and password fields, then click “ Next”. Note: Faculty/Staff will use @fgcu.edu and Students will use @eagle.fgcu.edu Step 7 The installation will complete. When finished, click “Done”. Step 8 You will now be able to connect to the eduroam wireless network. If you were not moved automatically, please select “eduroam” from your available WiFi networks.

eduroam – Windows Setup

Overview

Note: To install the needed software, administrator privileges are required.

Step 1

Open a browser and navigate to https://fgcu.edu/wifi. Select the “Get Connected” button (this will redirect to an external website hosted by SecureW2 at cloud.securew2.com. This is a trusted website and part of the onboarding process).

Step 2

Click the “JoinNow” button.
