Important announcements

regarding religious education!

We will be having a sort of town-hall meeting regarding CCD,

Religious Ed, youth group, and confirmation preparation

THIS UPCOMING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28 at 6PM.

We are trying to get everything squared away for next year

with our catechists to discuss ideas and curriculums, etc.

If you are interested in being a CCD teacher or helping with

the program please come. If you are a parent and have ideas,

please come. There will be light refreshments provided.

Some things for next year:

1) Of course everything is free. CCD, Confirmation,

everything is free and there is no cost.

2) We are hoping to have Spanish CCD, possibly on Thursday

nights. We already have Spanish Youth Group and

confirmation on Thursday this way we can have also First

Holy Communion preparation and the full Religious Ed

program in Spanish. We need teachers though. So please

come if you think you might be able to help us out.

3) We want to have Confirmation class available on not just

one night but 2 different nights a week. With young people’s

demanding schedules, this way there are two options. But

again we need people to make that happen.

4) We are considering the future of the Youth Group and how

that can best go forward. Specifically we are thinking of

making it NON-MANDATORY. Please come to the meeting

if you have ideas, opinions or are interested in helping.

5) We are considering having Confirmation ONLY A ONE

YEAR PROGRAM, instead of the current two years. Again,

please come to be able to contribute to the discussion.

Again, please come next Wednesday night so we can discuss

all of these matters and more to get everything squared away

and planned well for next year.

educación religiosa!

Tendremos una reunión acerca de las clases de catecismo,

Educación religiosa, grupo juvenil, y preparación de confirmación

el PRÓXIMO MIÉRCOLES, 28 DE JUNIO a las 6PM.

Estamos tratando de prepararnos para el próximo año con nuestros

catequistas para hablar sobre ideas y currículos, etc.

Si usted está interesado de ser un maestro de catecismo o ayudar en

el programa por favor venga. Si usted es un padre o madre que

tenga ideas, por favor venga. Habrán bebidas y tentempiés.

Algunas cosas para el próximo año:

1) Por supuesto todo es gratis. Clases de catecismo, Confirmación,

todo es gratis y no tiene que pagar nada.

2) Esperamos tener clases de catecismo en español, posiblemente

los jueves por la noche. Ya tenemos el Grupo de Jóvenes en español

y la confirmación el jueves de esta manera también podemos tener

la preparación para la Primera Comunión y el programa completo

de Educación Religiosa en español. Pero necesitamos maestros. Así

que vengan, por favor, si piensa que usted podría ayudarnos.

3) Queremos tener la clase de confirmación disponible no sólo una

noche pero 2 noches diferentes a la semana. Con horarios flexibles

para los jóvenes, de esta manera hay dos opciones. Pero de nuevo

necesitamos que la todo el mundo nos ayude.

4) Estamos considerando el futuro del grupo juvenil en Ingles

(diferente que el Grupo de Jóvenes en español que se reúnen todos

los jueves) y cómo se puede mejorar. Específicamente estamos

pensando en que no sea OBLIGATORIO. Por favor venga a la

reunión si tiene ideas, opiniones o está interesado en ayudar.

5) Estamos considerando tener un programa de confirmación que

dure SOLO UN AÑO, en lugar de los dos años. Una vez más,

vengan a poder contribuir a la discusión.

De nuevo, por favor venga el próximo miércoles por la noche para

que podamos discutir todos estos asuntos y más para que todo esté

al día y bien planificado para el próximo año.

peticiones a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Yo

recé por cada uno de ellas. ¡No se les olvide

que les traje un regalo de la Basílica de

Nuestra Madre!

Thank you to everyone who sent prayers and

petitions to Our Lady of Guadalupe. I prayed for

each and every one there. Don’t forget to get you

gift from the Basilica there in Mexico City!

Teachers Needed!! Anyone interested in teaching or helping with

religious education for the year 2017-2018 please

join us on Wednesday June 28th at 6:00 p.m. in

Room 1 in the school to discuss the upcoming year.

Light refreshments and snacks will be provide. If

Please also come and help us with our very active

Parish Food Pantry

The food pantry operates every Saturday of the month.

Anyone interested in volunteering, please come at 8:30 am!

We are also very much in need of volunteers every Friday

morning to help prepare for the food pantry on Saturday.

This is a truly beautiful ministry, an essential part of living the

Gospel and really helping many in need here in our

community. The Food pantry helps literally hundreds of

families in this area. If you are interested, please call Rosie

Buchan at (575) 309-5040 for further information.

The Food Pantry is currently in need of the following items:

Cereal, Peanut Butter, Jelly/Jam, Chef Boyardee Pastas,

and can meats.

Come and be a part of this incredible ministry and

service to the poor that your parish operates.

Any donations are also greatly appreciated. You can place

items in the baskets in the back of the church or bring them

Ministro Eucarístico, y Lectores, y otros voluntarios que necesitamos Todavía estamos muy seriamente necesitados de ministros eucarísticos para nuestras Misas en español. Por favor, las mismas personas tienen que hacerlo cada semana. Por favor ofrézcase de voluntario. No es difícil y no toma extra de su tiempo para poder hacer este increíble ministerio. Por favor llame a la oficina de la parroquia al 575-763-6947 y deje su nombre y número para que sea entrenado y lo pongamos en el horario. También, necesitamos personas que quieren ser voluntarios para rezar el Santo Rosario antes de la Misa y buscamos mas lectores y monaguíos y sacristanes. Por favor, queremos continuar sirviendo nuestra comunidad hispana pero necesitamos tu ayuda. Todos pueden participar mas y ayudar. Por favor, no les dejen toda la carga a unos cuantos u otros.
