Dave Tippett, 58, became the Oilers 16th head coach all-time on May 28, 2019.Prior to joining the Oilers, Tippett was a head coach in the NHL for 15 seasons (2002-2017), with Dallas and Phoenix/Arizona, posting a careerrecord of 553-413-28-102 in 1,114 games, for a 0.563 winning percentage. He also served as an assistant coach in Los Angeles from 1999-2002. In 2018-19, Tippett served as a senior advisor for Seattle’s NHL team.  Over eight years as head coach in Arizona, Tippett had a 282-257-78 record over 620 games.
