Visualization is forming a mental picture of information you are trying to remember.

By seeing a picture in your mind of the content, you will retain more of the information.

Association means relating or linking new information to that with which you already know.

By connecting new ideas with familiar ideas already rooted in your mind, you can form memorable images to boost immediate recall.

Best used to employ short- term recall of facts and details

An effective mnemonic device is simple to devise and easy to remember.

Disadvantages to using mnemonic devices: You are remembering not learning information. They can be cumbersome to create and easily
