This special issue contains original research articles on solarenergy use for green applications. In particular, the use ofsolar thermal energy for low environmental impact processesor the use of the light (with or without heterogeneousphotocatalysts) for environmental remediation or synthesiswas considered. The topic is highly challenging and thesubject would be important, timely, and of great interest.Among the submittedmanuscripts, 5 were selected as suitablefor publication through the strict experts’ peer reviews.

The papers to be published in this special issue are“Design and Performance Evaluation of a Solar AssistedHeat Pump Dryer Integrated with Biomass Furnace for RedChilli” for the direct solar light/thermal applications; “Sor-bents Coupled to Solar Light TiO

2-Based Photocatalysts for

OliveMillWastewater Treatment,” “Photodegradation of 2,4-Dichlorophenol in Aqueous Systems under Simulated andNatural Sunlight,” and “Flexible Bench-Scale RecirculatingFlowCPC Photoreactor for Solar Photocatalytic Degradationof Methylene Blue Using Removable TiO

2Immobilized on

PET Sheets” for the photodegradation topic; and “NobleMetal Decoration and Presulfation on TiO

2: Increased Pho-

tocatalytic Activity and Efficient Esterification of n-Butanolwith Citric Acid” for synthetic photochemistry.

We believe that this special issue can be interesting andinspiring for the readers of the journal since this advanced

interdisciplinary technology involves a wide range of sub-jects.
