The Local Scene• The task for students:

– Create an editorial cartoon on their Home Town or State Hot Topic

– Research, brainstorm, rough out, and finish a cartoon that recaps all of the lesson topics.

Alyson Mireault: In light of Keenes surge in robberies and break-ins, police are accused of being too few in number and unresponsive.

Gerri Russell: City students are glad that school’s out for the summer.

Lee Mohnkern: A Very strong teacher’s union holds up the wall of education against budget cutting assaults.

Jessica Gray: Rumors fly in the face of education budget cuts.

Kate Messner: State legislators take multiple “shots” at less than important issues and only one attempt at the most important one.
