Editing the review

In this task I have corrected my grammar and misspellings for my evaluation of the documentary our group created.

When editing this piece I also re-worded, paragraphed and added to the information I wrote.

When going editing my review I decided to re-word minor details at the beginning of the introduction. I replaced task with assignment to make it sound more professional. By using this, the review has more purpose than it just being a task.

Right clicking and using the ‘Synonyms’ action allows me to select the word I need to change this.

When reading the introduction I also noticed that the beginning sentence would need a comma at the start to give it better grammar and make it easier for the reader.

I did this myself and did not use any spell checks.

For this sentence, I decided to re-word what is said so it makes more sense and can seem more professional. I did this without any auto corrections because I was dissatisfied with words used.

In this paragraph, I chose to take out some words so it would make more sense and because ‘documentaries’ became quite repetitive. By doing this it would make it easier for the reader and also wouldn’t be as boring to read because of the same words being used.

Here, I have re-arranged and re-worded what has been said because it didn’t really make sense and didn’t get to the point as much.

This would help the reader understand more and get more to the point.

I did this on my own without using any corrections from the computer.

In this paragraph, I am talking about conventions of a documentary and mention archival footage, voice-overs and interviews. All this being squashed into one paragraph may make it harder for the reader and also make it boring reading a piece of large text.

Instead of leaving this I decided to paragraph each subject of the topic to make it more interesting for the reader and so it is easier.

For the paragraph I found many mistakes and had to re-word most parts to make it more professional and easy to read.

I have replaced some words and also added more information. Again, I have paragraphed the text better so it would make more sense and be easier for the reader.

Here I have used the computer to replace the mistakes I made with the correct word.

I noticed a small spelling mistake here which I corrected myself, the word being ‘filming’.

In conclusion, there has been a good improvement to the review and has been made easier for the viewer to read through. The grammar and spellings have also been improved and has made this work a lot better than the first draft.

For this word, I used the spell check to suggest the correct words I needed. Doing this would give me loads of suggestions for the word I am looking for, in case ‘footage’. Once I have found my word, I would click change to apply the word I want to the text. Using this is a great way to find words you can’t spell and gives suggestions for it.
