Establishing shot
The shot shows where the characters are and where they are going to be.

The shot reverse shot
The shot reverse shot – the two shots are edited together so that alternate charaters, normally in a conversation.

The over the shot
The over the shot camera shot shows what the character is looking at, which at this time is another character and they are in a conflict of interests.

When the character is coming towards the camera it is called … this technique is used to show that the character is in a rush.

Eyeline match
Eyeline match – a cut between two shoot, in which the first shots how's a person looking off in one direction, and the second shot shows either a space containing what he or she sees, or a person looking back in exactly the opposite direction.
