We are really keen to understand platforms and digital transformation.
from Janet wildman to all participants:
I think we could wrap this around a theory of complexity...where would you put this?
from Kate Pound to all participants:
Very powerful!
from Jazz to all participants:
Thanks Janet. ☕️
from Jane Moore to all participants:
Great example of poor design, seen it so often.
from Liz Maddocks Brown to all participants:
great-really good example of how to do this
from Sasha Karakusevic to all participants:
Love the design framework and holistic approach
from Janet wildman to all participants:
Do we need one element across each of the different Stack aspects?
from Shane Mooar to all participants:
Getting consistency/agreement across an enterprise is challenging, are there particular
approaches anyone has found beneficial?
from Janet wildman to all participants:
Hi Shane, Let's ask the presenters.
from beverley johnson to all participants:
just absorbing so much new stuff - thanks
from Kate Pound to all participants:
@Beverley it's fab so much new learning
from Kate Pound to all participants:
Great point thanks - the data can tell many stories
from Zayna Khayat to all participants:
that would make a great before/after picture of a hospital's website landing page!
from Sasha Karakusevic to all participants:
Interesting links to ICHOM (international Health outcomes) established by Michael Porter. If we
are clear about outcomes that matter we should be able to design better delivery systems
from Janet wildman to all participants:
This sounds very similar to our discharge/flow challenges.
from Janet wildman to all participants:
It is interesting that there is constriants on funding yet investment in digital technology - shows the
demand for new design thinking
from Jane Moore to all participants:
Way finding app to talk you through to your department - brilliant and simple idea!
from Jane Ansell to all participants:
50% increase in Ambulatory Care- if we could achieve that our flow issues would be on the mend.
from Sasha Karakusevic to all participants:
Hi Jane, I agree as long as the beds are the rate limiting step.
from Jane Ansell to all participants:
I agree, beds are seen as the rate limiting step but its not really the case in A&E flow, its always
organisational response and delays between process steps.
from Janet wildman to all participants:
Do send you last minute questions in as we only have a few minutes left.
from Liz Maddocks Brown to all participants:
Hi i have to leave now and thank you for a very interesting session
from Janet wildman to all participants:
Thanks Liz.
from Jane Ansell to all participants:
Once an admission occurs the pace of process slows further but given the lack of technology
employed to manage flow at the micro level, its largely invisible until bed pressures enforce
random actions to speed up discharge.
from Shane Mooar to all participants:
We find that patient discharge rates decrease after hours when our most senior clinicials are off
shift - how do we empower nurses and junior doctors to discharge patients when they are ready?
from Jane Ansell to all participants:
Sure Janet
from Shane Mooar to all participants:
Happy to - not sure how
from Jane Moore to all participants:
Thanks all, and thanks for my new fave word - entawk !
from Jane Ansell to all participants:
Thank you Janet

Thank you all. Please keep me posted. ☕️
from Sasha Karakusevic to all participants:
Really good session. Thanks team.
from Sasha Karakusevic to all participants:
Re your point on costs of single rooms, the evidence is that it is not a big problem. Many time
wasting steps can be removed. Big opportunities for involving family/carers too.
