AQUARIUS MRE SYSTEM
Harnessing the power of the wind & sun to tranform shipping
“Aquarius” uses an array of rigid sails to help move a ship and also collect solar energy which can be stored in power storage modules. This stored energy can be used when a ship is in port & harbour. Wind power generating devices can also be integrated into the system.
By using the power of the sun & wind together on ships the Aquarius MRE System will help ships use less fossil fuel and lower emissions. On a large ocean going ship it is expected the Aquarius MRE System will achieve annual fuel savings of around 10% and up to 20% on ships specifically designed to use the system
