Superior protection from a filterUnder all the conditions reflecting today’s lifestyles (seasonal or permanent housing, weather conditions, etc.), Ecoflo® provides high performance, reliability and stability to protect the environment. This high level of performance and reliability comes from Ecoflo®’s patented filter medium, which retains water and keeps its biological activity during long rest periods, ensuring the maintenance of sustainable performance immediately after restart. The filtering medium constitutes a physical barrier between the existing soil and the absorption bed. It also ensures the reduction of nutrients and pathogens in groundwater and surface water.

Ecoflo® cluster treatment systemClustering means connecting several filters in parallel which are fed by a pressurized flow divided that ensures uniform distribution of the wastewater to be treated. Depending on the project, it may be economical to distribute the clusters on several treatment sites to take advantage of the topography and reduce the costs related to a collection and pumping system.

A flow divider is required to evenly split the incoming wastewater flow between all Ecoflo® units. Once the flow evenly divided, wastewater is directed by gravity to the treatment units.

Following the Primary treatment, the water flows to the Ecoflo® Biofilter. The water is then distributed over the entire surface of the Ecoflo® filtering media. An internal tipping bucket equally doses the water onto the peat
