eclipse Group | HSE Annual Report | 2015/2016
01Message from Mark Brown, Group Chief Executive Officer & Founder
This is the second year that eclipse has published their annual HSE report and once again I am proud of everything that we have achieved, as we maintain the highest health & safety standards across the Group. Over the past three years, eclipse has continued to lead the event technology industry in the improvement of these standards by extending our culture and commitment to the wider community.
I can see a change happening with regards to health & safety throughout our industry and am pleased that most of our peers now share our values. We now need for all of the region’s major players to come together to cascade this culture down to all event suppliers, ensuring a safer and more secure environment for everyone. Health & safety is, and always will be, eclipse Group’s highest priority, and we remain committed to driving up standards for the whole industry.
Finally, I would like to thank each and every eclipse Group employee for their efforts in managing the health & safety aspects of their roles, and it is my pleasure to present you with an overview of our activities and outcomes in the 2015-16 eclipse Group annual HSE report.

02Message from Simon Ransom, Group Chief Operating Officer
When health & safety policies become part of the culture and ‘lifestyle’ of a business, and when everyone within that organisation buys into their responsibilities, as has happened at eclipse, you start to see real positive change. With significant growth in the volume of our business over the past 12 months, we have maintained our HSE standards, and I believe that this is a real achievement. Looking to the future, we will continue to develop and implement an integrated managements system for HSE, which will be in-line with international standards.
As COO of the eclipse Group, it is with pleasure and pride that I head an organisation which holds sound HSE values so close to its core, and I am thrilled that our initiatives are so frequently positively commented on by our clients. While every business exists to make a profit, health and safety must take priority, regardless of the required involvement, dedication, presence and investment; for eclipse, health and safety comes second to none.
We are acutely aware of the risks inherent to our industry and will continue to develop and improve the necessary safeguards to protect our employees, the public and the environment. As a collective, the eclipse team will strive to excel further, ensuring full participation and presence in the coming years by continually reviewing and refining our strategy.

10Major HSE Concerns – 2015/16
100% PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) compliance has not been observed this year, as per HSE inspection reports.Recycling of 100% of applicable waste has not been achieved (as per last year’s HSE objectives).Acknowledgement (signoff) of RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) not achieved for all projects. The number of near-miss incidents reported has decreased year on year. While this is not a concern in and of its self, we need to ensure that this is due to a decrese in near-miss incidents and not a decrease in near-miss reporting.
