Annual Report of the Electrochemistral Laboratory at the Paul Scherrer Institute (2004) The Electrochemistry Laboratory is part of the General Energy Research Department at the Paul Scherrer Institute. It is dedicated to modern aspects of electrochemical energy storage and conversion - especially in conjunction with sustainable mobility. The aim of our research is the development of novel batteries, capacitors and fuel cells for electric vehicles and portable devices.TRANSCRIPT

The HY-LIGHT Passenger Car in Front of the Shanghai Skyline HY-LIGHT, a lightweight passenger car with a H2/O2 fuel cell – supercapacitor hybrid power train, was presented to the public in the Chinese city of Shanghai on the occasion of the 6th Challenge Bibendum in October 2004. It represents the successful collaboration of our Laboratory with our industrial partner Construction Développment Michelin (CDM), Switzerland.
