Wireless Systems The Term “Wireless” in the audio and video world most often means less wires… Today’s wireless systems focus primarily around room speakers.
4 Basic ComponentsAmplifier
Any device with Speaker outputs Sender
Takes a speaker output and turns it into a wireless signal (2.4GHz)
ReceiverReceives a stereo signal from the Sender. Also provides the needed power for the speakers
SpeakersCan be wired as shown in photo Can be completely wireless
10 10
Wireless Speakers
Key Features • Systems use comprise of 2.4GHz and 900 MHz• Most systems are IR
• Sender and Receiver Must be in the same Room • RF systems
• More flexibility for speaker placement
Disadvantages • Each speaker needs to be powered
• Interference from other 2.4GHz or 900 MHz products
• Wireless reliability and quality

Note: If volume control is not used the output cable will connect directly to the speakers.
Key Features• Audio in every room
• Inexpensive to install
• The system only requires one amplifier to run the entire home or office
• Volume controls can be placed in every room
• Speakers can be mounted in the ceiling or wall

A-BUS Audio System Key Features• No need for an expensive amplifier.
Music can be supplied by any device with an audio output jack
• A-BUS uses CAT5 wiring. CAT5 offers a low cost solution for both new construction and renovation.
• Standard rough-in boxes.
• Local Override Plates gives the Eaton system the flexibility to by-pass what is being listened to in the entire home with a local source of music.
• The system can be expanded very simply to fit any size job. A jumper port is located on each module making it easy to add on to the system.
• Multi-Source or Single SourceOptions available
14 14
The A-BUS Advantage
Traditional Speaker Wire SystemPre-wire costs are higher
• 16-4 and 16-2 speaker wire is more expensive than CAT5
One amplifier runs the whole house
• The amplifier is the heart of the system, in order to increase the volume output the volume on the amplifier needs to go up
No multi-sourcing capabilities
Each volume control puts additional strain on the amplifier
System is not capable of more than 8 speaker zones
A-BUS AudioLow cost to pre-wire home
• All main cable runs are done in CAT5
Systems are easy to design
• Absolutely No Programming!
Multi-Sourcing capabilities for each room location
• Local room source
• New whole house multi-source hub
Volume controls are amplified
• Guaranties great sound in every room
• No amplifier needed in system
Easily Expandable
Brand Recognition
• Major companies such as Onkyo, Yamaha, and Pioneer are including A-BUS jacks on the amplifier
