Attention “Epic” students: The workbooks are now available for pickup in the Parish Office. Please stop by and pick yours up before classes begin. Each package includes a

session workbook, a bookmark, and a fold-out chart with Popes, Events, Leaders, etc. illustrated for each significant

period in church history. Parish Office Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The set is $29.95. If you haven’t already paid, you

can drop your check off when you pick your book up. First class is week of September 18. Class times are Wednesdays at

9:00 AM and 6:30 PM or Thursdays at 1:00 PM

Please pray for those who are ill in our Parish and for those who are dying or who have died. Never underestimate the power of prayer. If you would like to add someone

Adoration Many of our volunteers will be taking vacations

over the summer. Please consider being a substitute so that we may staff our Adoration

Chapel during the busy summer months. We also need help during the following permanent time

slots:

Prayer Shawl Ministry Fall is here and we are back to our knitting and crocheting! If you like to knit or crochet, please consider joining our group.

We create blankets and shawls for those in need of comfort and warmth in our parish and our surrounding community. If you

You are invited to attend the Seventh Annual Guatemala Mission Celebration on Monday, Sept. 16 at 5:30 PM at Barrister Winery. Bishop Daly will welcome Lourdes Tzoc, Director of “Nawai Estereo,”and Sister Mary Bertrand, SSND, to talk about the history and operation of this radio station, originally known as “The Voice of Nahuala” and founded by the late Fr. John Rompa in 1962. “Nawai Estero” provides religious and educational programming in the Spanish and Mayan languages to the most remote communities located in our Diocesan Mission area. Appetizers and coffee will be provide with wine available for purchase. A silent auction, door prizes and Café de Adela organic coffee will be offered.

Liturgical Minister Training Perhaps the Lord is calling you to serve the

parish in a liturgical ministry. There will be training for liturgical ministers, current and

new, on the following dates:

Lectors/Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: Thursday, September 26, 6:30 PM in the church. Candidates are fully-initiated youth and adult Catholics in good standing

in the Church

Altar Servers (for those not in St. Thomas More School): Sunday, September 15, 10:00 AM in the church
