One of our Student Ambassadors,

Sirena, took students to Alcatraz

Island! They took a ferry boat to

the island, then got an audio tour

of the prison and enjoyed the

beautiful views.

Teacher Gifford took students

on a walking tour of the lively

Mission neighbourhood! The

alleyways there are famous for

beautiful murals and street art.

Teacher Ricky took students to

an Oakland Athletics baseball

game. Students enjoyed hot

dogs, beer, popcorn, and

conversation while cheering

on their team! Students also

received free baseball hats for

attending the game!

THURSDAY 20: OAKLAND A’S BASEBALL GAME

On Friday after school, students

went to our Center Director’s

home for a BBQ! They took the

BART metro to Walnut Creek,

went on a tour of the downtown

area and then enjoyed delicious

steaks, veggie skewers and drinks!
