Dr. Richard A. Polin is the William T Speck Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in the City of New York . Dr. Polin has published over 200 original papers, 20 books (including Fetal and Neonatal Physiology, Workbook in Practical Neonatology, Pediatric Secrets, Fetal and Neonatal Secrets, Current Pediatric Therapy, Pocket Neonatology) and more than 200 abstracts. He is the past chair of the Sub-board of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Polin is the current Chair of the NICHD Neonatal Research Network executive steering committee.

As the number of articles world-wide in the medical press explodes, the importance of understanding and disseminating the principles of Evidence Based Medicine becomes greater. This is a central focus of the Society of Evidence-Based Neonatology (EBNeo).

EMINENT FACULTY
Dr. Roger F. Soll is the H. Wallace Professor of Neonatology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, the President of Vermont Oxford Network, and Director of Network Clinical Trials. Dr. Soll is an authority in evidence-based medicine and randomized clinical trials. He is the coordinating editor of the Cochrane Neonatal Review Group of the Cochrane Collaboration and author or co-author of the Cochrane Reviews of surfactant therapy.
Dr. Haresh Kirpalani is the Program Director of the Newborn and Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program and an Attending Neonatologist in the Division of Neonatology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His areas of interest include Bronchopulmonary dysplasia, Neonatal lung injury, Newborn medicine, Parent counseling & Randomized trials in neonatal medicine.
Dr. Gautham Kanekal Suresh is the Section Head and Service Chief for Neonatology and Pediatrics - Newborn at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA. His professional interests include Patient Safety, Healthcare Quality Improvement, Evidence-Based Decision Making, Translation of Research into Practice, Ethics, Humanism in Medicine, Organizational Culture and Leadership in Healthcare.
Dr. Barbara Schmidt is an Attending Neonatologist at CHOP Newborn Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her areas of interest include Collaborative controlled clinical trials in newborns, Early prediction of neurodevelopment in very preterm infants and Neonatal research ethics.
