    The

    work

    seems

    so slow. We ave had families come

    b e i n g i n q u i s i t i v e a b o u t

    C h r i s t .

    The c h u r c h h a s s o many

    p h y s i c a l , f i n a n c i a l , e m o t i o n a l and

    s p i r i t u a l n e e d s .

    We

    have

    a

    f u l l schedule

    of a c t i v i t i e s

    with

    a

    core

    of

    workers

    numbering l e s s t h a n a dozen.

    Paul

    fear

    for

    Paul

    struggled, much

    s

    we

    ave, with

    those

    moments

    of doubt and f r u s t r a t i o n .

    Yet, Paul found

    some

    encour

    a gement i n

    what progress

    he saw.

    He

    ound comfort in

    r e a l i z i n g

    t h a t God

    was

    a t work i n ways of which h e d i d

    n o t know. There a r e

    t h o s e

    glimmering

    moments t h a t r e a s

    sure us t h a t God's

    work

    carrying on

    even

    r e a l i z e

    springs f o r t h , not from nowhere, but from undetected

    sources preparing

    for

    the

    blossom.

    That was

    we e a l i z e d

    one day

    r e c e n t l y .

    more and more the meaning of the Passover

    to the i n s t i t u t i o n of the

    Lord s Supper.

    we held our second

    annual

    PREP

    Time Away. PREP

    stands for Preacher s

    Retreat

    E n r i c h i n g P r e p a r a t i o n .

    We pent t h r e e days p r e p a r i n g

    s i x

    months

    of sermons.

    Everyone

    who has p a r t i c i p a t e d

    has

    appreciated the

    exercise.

    the Sunday School Hall

    for the 111th Anniver

    sary

    o f the

    church.

    For a few weeks we

    weather

    helped to make the v i s i t

    memo

    rable one. Gladys

    v i s i t her

    "native" land and

    even had a

    she

    arrived We also had the pleasure o f

    and daughter, Carrie Beth, f rom Johnson

    Bible

    of August

    places and

    friends

    they

    had

    known

    years

    ago

    when

    they

    in

    Aberdeen,

    Scotland.

    Then there

    regular

    a c t i v i t i e s o f the

    s u m m e r .

    Holiday Bible School

    went

    well t h i s year

    as we

    went

    down o n

    the

    farm to

    allow

    God to g r o w

    the f r u i t

    o f

    the

    S p i r i t

    i n

    our i v e s
