Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. At the helm of Town’s creepy and kooky family is Clayton King (in his Town debut) as Gomez and Sheldon Paschal (Jekyll and Hyde) as Morticia. Danny Niati (Nice Work if You Can Get It; Spamalot) adds a unique “electrical” element as the moon-loving Uncle Fester with Nancy Ann Smith (Gypsy; Shrek) casting spells and concocting potions as Grandma. Adolescence runs wild with Wednesday, shared by Ashlyn Combs (Annie) and Blakelee Cannon (Peter Pan) and Puglsey, taken by Town newcomer, James Rabon. Keeping watch over them all is Lurch, the faithful butler, played another new face at Town — Lucas Bender. When you’re an Addams, opposition rules! Feeling sad is happiness, pain is joy, and suffering is simply sublime. So when “real world problems” like Wednesday’s relationship with Lucas Beineke (portrayed by Nate Stern in his Town debut), come to pass, being an Addams becomes even tougher.
