HISTORY OF EASYTEL COMMUNICATIONS

Over a decade ago, EasyTEL Communications was formed in order to provide "Fortune 500" level services to every business in Tulsa. By engineering and building its own fiber optic network across Tulsa, EasyTEL is making that vision a reality. EasyTEL's fiber optic services cost no more than the same services over copper.

THE ISP YEARS

In the late 1990's, EasyTEL began offering Internet access to its customers. Recognizing a need for services exceeding the capacity of dial-up and even DSL lines and T1 circuits, EasyTEL began engineering and constructing its own fiber optic network over which businesses could outperform the lower-tier residential services.

THE CLEC YEARS

Around the turn of the century, EasyTEL began leasing phone lines from the incumbent telephone company and entered the telephone services arena as a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC). Customers bought these services from EasyTEL usually because of the more personal level of service provided compared to the incumbent. As regulations began to change, EasyTEL once again invested in research and development for the next phase of its life.

TODAY

Foreseeing the upcoming shifts in the marketplace, EasyTEL invested heavily in building out its own fiber optic network to the premise. STEPS TO SWITCH TO EASYTELStep 1 – Prescription before Diagnosis = Malpractice

Call and set up an on-site appointment with me, I can determine your needs usually within 30 minutes. I will talk with you in plain, non-technical language. I will provide a custom solution that best fits the way you do business. Then, after we agree on the best solution you will get a detailed proposal and order forms for your approval.

Step 2 – Site Survey – An EasyTEL engineer will review your current telecom configuration and provide a fiber optic site construction analysis if needed. This process takes less than 30 minutes and usually does not require much time from your organization.

Step 3 – Installation and Activation – Our telecom engineers will install & port and test every service to verify all your services are working properly. We work with your current hardware vendors to make the switch with as little down time as possible. Do not contact your current provider to cancel any services until after everything has been switched over to EasyTEL. After we receive fully signed order forms we will begin the process of switching your service over to EasyTEL. Once you are switched over to EasyTEL it is your responsibility to contact your previous provider to make sure they do not bill you for any ongoing services that you do not need.

Step 4 – Follow Up – After activation, a member of your account management team will visit with you to ensure your satisfaction and will continue following up every quarter to always make sure you are a very happy and loyal customer.

New Construction Timelines:New Fiber Optic Construction projects are usually complete within 30 days from the date EasyTEL receives signed construction drawings from the building owner excluding building entrance schedule, poor weather conditions other unpredictable obstacles. Fiber Lit Building Installation Timelines:Installations typically take 2 weeks to complete.

ADVANTAGES OF OPTICAL FIBER VS COPPER/COAX

Lower Cost: The same length of optical fiber is made for a much lower cost than copper wiring.

Lower Power: No power is needed to propel the signal in an optical fiber once it has been sent. That, in addition

to a lower degree of signal degradation, means that less power is needed to send the signals.

Size and Weight: Optical fibers are thinner and lighter than copper wiring. This means more optical fibers can

go in the same diameter of cable as if it was filled with copper wiring.

Better Capacity: Today's optical networks can send 1 terabit/second of information. In theory, the potential

maximum optical fibers can send is 350 terabits/second. In comparison, advanced copper DSL systems can send 50

megabits/second of information. The theoretical maximum for copper cables is 1 gigabit/second of information. [1]

*Note: 1000 megabits = 1 gigabit and 1000 gigabits = 1 terabit

Environmentally Friendly: Optical fiber uses less footprint than standard copper/coax technology. It greatly

lowers the energy level it takes to send the providers signal. Providers can send more signals through a single fiber

strand. To increase the capacity of optical fiber, a provider can split the number of signal paths versus physical

material.

I made the decision to change my telecommunications provider from another carrier to EasyTEL and am extremely glad that I did. EasyTEL has provided exceptional service not only on the sales side and in my day-to-day communications connections, but also on the technical service side. They are probably the only company that provides real, local (not overseas) human technical support within a few seconds of calling their support line. My biggest concern in changing carriers was the physical cutover of service. I have four phone lines including a dedicated fax line that I cannot afford to have interrupted. EasyTEL’s cutover from my old carrier to their fiber-connected system was pleasantly seamless. I had no

interruptions or problems at all and am extremely pleased with the way that everything was handled. They even installed a dedicated fiber line to my office PC which offered a challenge that their installers handled with ease. My internet is much faster that it used to be and is always there – no down time or interruptions to worry about. EasyTEL provides a very simplified one-page monthly bill which indicates that I am paying less for my telecommunications service than I was with my old carrier.
