Dr. Rodger Suchman graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He has been inducted into 2 national honor societies. Dr. Suchman is a member of the American Dental Society, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society and the University Dental Study Club. Dr. Suchman has been hon-ored with fellowships in the American and International College of Dentists as well as a mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Rodger Suchman’s hobbies include: Bicycling, traveling and playing with his grandson.

Dr. David Suchman graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry (UMKC) in 2000. In 2001, he completed an advanced education in General Dentistry Residency at UMKC. Dr. David Suchman is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Eastern Jackson County Dental Study Club, and the University Dental Study Club. He has been awarded the Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and is actively involved in community service, participating in Give Kids a Smile, Donated Dental Services and dental screenings for the Independence School District. Dr. David’s hobbies include snow skiing, avid local sports fan, music production and biking.

Dr. Thomas “Mac” Darnall graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry (UMKC) in 2007. In 2008, he completed a residency in the advanced education in general dentistry at UMKC, which only 7% of practicing dentists have completed. Dr. Darnall is a member of the American Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, the Missouri Dental Association and the Eastern Jackson County Dental Health Study Club. Dr. Darnall is actively involved in the community and enjoys cooking, camping, traveling, and college football.

Dr. Brock received a Bachelor of Arts at Wichita State University and received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a rotating internship and residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Brock is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology since 1983. Dr. Brock feels the practice of Gastroenterology is exciting and allows him the opportunity to contribute significantly to people’s lives and still stay on the cutting edge of science and technology.

Dr. Chen obtained his medical degree from Beijing Medical University and practiced orthopedic surgery for three years. In 1991, he moved to the United States and completed his doctorate degree in physiology at Louisiana State University. He continued his basic science research for two more years at University of Virginia in Charlottesville for IBD research. In July 2004, he joined the Consultants in Gastroenterology in Kansas City. Dr. Chen is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Grewal is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Missouri for his residency and fellowship with the University of Missouri and returned to Chicago for a couple of years in private practice before moving back to Missouri to join the faculty at University of Missouri-Columbia. He was an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology with extensive experience doing inpatient, outpatient, clinics and teaching residents and fellows. He has been a mentor to his residents and fellows, but also has won accolades from the students for being an excellent teacher. He was nominated by the students for the Alpha Omega Alpha Award for teaching.

Dr. Kaster received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas Christian University and a medical degree at the University of Kansas-School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, serving an extra year as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Kaster then completed a two-year Gatroenterology Fellowship at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Medical Association, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Khalid earned a medical degree from King Edward Medical College, Lahore. He completed his internship and residency from Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology from Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. He has worked as a staff gastroenterologist at Roseburg VA Hospital in Oregon and served as a clinical Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, a fellow of the American College of Gastoenterology and a member of the American Gastroenterology Association.

Dr. Landers is a graduate of William Jewell College in Liberty and received a medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City and went on to complete a two-year Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Kansas-School Of Medicine. Dr. Landers has been in private practice in the area since 1970. He is an Associate Member of the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Enoscopy as well as many other local and national societies.

Dr. Taormina is a Kansas City native. He graduated from the University of Missouri. Dr. Taormina’s postgraduate train-ing in Gastroenterology was completed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He continued as a Major in the US Army Medical Corps until 1991. Dr. Taormina is triple Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of internal medicine, gastroenterology and geriatric medicine. He has attained Fellowship status in the American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is currently on the active staff of Centerpoint Medical Center, Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center, Midwest Physicians Surgery Center and St. Luke's Northland Hospital. He is active in clinical research and serves as the medical director for the Midwest Center for Clinical Research.

Dr. McCullough completed medical school at the University of Health Sciences, now KCUMB. He went on to complete the Internal Medicine Residency program and a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has been in private practice since graduating his fellowship.

Dr. McCullough is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Bartalos was born and raised in Kansas City. He received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University and went on to Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for his medical degree. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri and finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible for Gastroenterology. His area of special interest is inflammatory bowel disease. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and most importantly, time with his family.

Dr. Lozoff was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He then went to the University of Bologna in Italy before transferring to the Rush University Medical College in Chicago, in Internal Medicine, where he became the Chief Medical Resident. This was followed with a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, after which he became Board Certified. Dr. Lozoff is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been in private practice in Kansas City since 1983. He also has a degree in Culinary Arts and enjoys cooking, traveling, and bicycling.

Dr. Woltjen has been practicing in Eastern Jackson County and surrounding communities since 1981. His focus is the early detection of gastrointestinal cancers by outpatient endoscopic procedures. During his career he has performed over 80,000 of these procedures. Over the years, he has cared for three generations of the same families. Dr. Woltjen practices by himself which means you receive a very personalized approach to your GI needs. Dr. Woltjen is an equity shareholder of Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center.

Dr. Totta was born and raised in the Kansas City area and graduated from Bishop O'Hara High School in 1987. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology at the University of Central Missouri, he entered Medical School at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience. He trained at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Internal Medicine, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. This was followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center - University of Phoenix Medical Center combined Fellowship program. Dr. Totta is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been in practice in the Kansas City area since 2002. He is married and enjoys spending time with his three children.

Dr. Schlachter is a native of New York and a graduate of Brooklyn College. He earned his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, as well as a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Barnes Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Schlachter is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He has been in private practice in the Kansas City area since 1989. Dr. Schlachter's hobbies include fishing, collecting antique watches, as well as classic automobiles. He has recently celebrated 36 years of marriage with his wife, Linda. His daughter, Julie, is in the advertising and promotion business. His son, Andrew, is in his medical residency and plans on following in his father's footsteps.

Dr. Lucido was raised in Chicago. She completed the BA/MD program at the University of Missouri - Kansas City obtain-ing both her undergraduate and medical degrees in six years. She then moved to Minneapolis, Minn., to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. She was the Chief Medical Resident at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center and then completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Minnesota. During her fellowship, she spent a year performing research and training in Endoscopic Ultrasound. Dr. Lucido is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Dr. Malaika Woods, a native of Wichita, Kansas, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist. She earned her Bachelor's degree, with cum laude distinction, from Wichita State University. As an undergraduate, Dr. Woods was also the recipient of the Harry S. Gore Scholarship, the largest leadership scholarship awarded in the state of Kansas. She completed her Doctorate of Medicine and Masters of Public Health degrees from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Woods completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Missouri--Kansas City. Professionally, she enjoys general obstetrics and gynecol-ogy and minimally invasive surgery, including robotics. Her background in public health is a great complement to her interest in preventive health, particularly weight loss management. Dr. Woods now sees men and women in her comprehensive weight loss clinic. When not working in the office, Dr. Woods enjoys singing, especially gospel music. Paul F. Nassab, M.D., comes to DFP Orthopedics as a fellowship trained surgeon specializing in trauma, reconstruction, and disorders of the hand, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Neighbor received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Kansas. He specializes in general orthopedics with interest focused on orthopedic trauma and conditions of the foot and ankle. Matthew M. Thompson, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He has served as Assistant Team Physician for the New York Mets baseball team, St. Peter’s College basketball team, and numerous high school football teams. He completed Fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the top-ranked Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. At the University of Kansas, he graduated with honors in Chemical Engineering and participated on the Track & Field team. He completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and then finished his orthopedic surgery residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC. In addition to treating sports injuries in patients of all ages, he has had specialized training in shoulder replacement, hip arthroscopy, and complex injuries of the shoulder, elbow and knee. His research interests and publications include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in young athletes, shoulder dislocations, hip biomechanics and athletic injuries, and baseball-specific orthopedic injuries.

Alexandria J. Strong obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She then went on to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, where she finished an internship in general surgery. Dr. Strong’s special interests lie in treatment of the shoulder and knee with an emphasis in sports medicine.

Dr. Satterlee received his medical degree and general orthopedic training from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Subsequently, he was the senior Anne C. Kane Fellow in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the New York Orthopedic Hospital – Columbia Presbyterian Hospital directed by the nationally recognized Dr. Charles S. Neer II. Dr. Satterlee sees patients with general orthopedic problems. His expertise and focus is in disorders of the shoulder and elbow.

Dr. Wise comes to DFP Orthopedics as a fellowship trained Orthopedic Trauma surgeon with special interest in complex fractures of the pelvis, acetabulum, and lower extremity. He has expertise in fractures that have failed to heal (nonunion), become infected, or have healed with defor-mity (malunion). He obtained his medical degree from Saint Louis University, completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at Michigan State University and then obtained further subspecialty expertise in Orthopedic Trauma at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
