From the Pastor:
My dear friends in Christ,
On this Easter Sunday, we celebrate the new creation. He is risen, Alleluia! At dawn in the garden of the Resurrection, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb grieving over the death of her beloved Lord. When she discovered that the stone closing the entrance to the tomb had been rolled away, she feared that the body of Jesus had been stolen. Mary ran to tell Peter and John, and the two disciples raced to the tomb to see for themselves. John (the “disciple whom Jesus loved”) arrived first and peered into the empty tomb. The shroud was still there; the body had not been stolen. Then John allowed Peter, the elder Apostle, to enter the tomb first and see for himself. Peter was slow to understand the meaning of the empty tomb, but John was convinced of Christ’s resurrection; he “saw and believed.” Like John, we see no physical evidence of the Risen Christ, yet we know in faith that He is alive in the world and in the hearts of all who believe in Him.
This is an Easter unlike any other as we continue to navigate through this Coronavirus pandemic. Because of social distancing and trying to “break the curve,” we are not together to celebrate this glorious day. Please be assured that you are in my prayers as I continue to celebrate Mass privately and offer the intention of the day. We will continue to link you to the Livestream of Masses celebrated by Bishop O’Connell and I will continue to provide a reflection/homily via our Facebook page.
Please continue to mail in your love offering or drop your envelope through the mail slot of the Rectory. I am grateful for all of your support. Happy Easter!
May God bless you all,
Father John
EASTER HOLIDAYS The Rectory Office will be CLOSED from Holy Thursday, April 9, through Easter Monday, April 13. Although we are closed to the public, we will re-open on a limited basis beginning Tuesday, April 14th. We ask all parishioners, however, to please call to conduct any urgent business. For the greater good of all, practicing social distancing at this time is a must and a way to express our love, care and concern for one another.
Wishing you a Blessed Easter in continued good health and may the peace of The Risen Lord be with you and your families always!
AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT Society: What are we supposed to do when we can’t leave our homes?
God: Rest. You are always so busy and overwhelmed, crying out to me weary and exhausted. Can’t you use a break from your fast-paced and over-scheduled lives? Go ahead and rest. Pray. Love your family. Be still and spend time with Me.
Society: We’re scared!
God: I’ve got this and I’m with you.
So here’s to another day … another chance to be kind, considerate and compassionate. We are all in this alone together trying to make sense of it all. Keep our children free from anxiety, protect the weak with compromised health issues, protect the elderly, keep a roof over our heads and food on our tables as best we can. Peace, love, prayers, wellness and happiness to all. Always remembers to see the glass half full … and know you are blessed because you, indeed, have a glass.
Rejoice in The Risen Lord!
