  • Easter Spirit Competition 2020It was lovely to see so many service users, students and staff getting involved to enjoy the activities and sunshine…..and observing social distance and enjoying activities in

    their own homes and services!

    Congratulations to our deserving winners: Ashfield House (Branas Isaf), Faycroft (Midlands), Fenton Grange House (Cambian), Gayton Road (Central), May Morning (South), Orchard House (Oakleaf), Wisbech School (Cambian) who all receive £100 of Love2Shop vouchers for their service or school.

    Well done to our runners up: Hill House School (Cambian), Hopscotch House (Cambian), Leigham Lodge (South), Mottram Road (North), Porthill (Children’s / Young Adults North), Purbeck View School (Cambian), Serene House (Cambian), St Agnells (South), The Mallards (Central), The Bungalow (Midlands) and Wheatsheaf (South) who all receive £50 of Love2Shop vouchers.

  • Pretty bonnets, Easter Tree and the table all set for Sunday lunch.

    For Easter, Scott decided to make some cornflake cakes. He planned this with staff and made a list of ingredients that we would need. Scott then prepped the ingredients himself before baking the service his delicous easter treats!

  • Orchard House had fun in the sun with a bunny themed ‘Soak the Managers’ game! There was also hungry hippos and residents made Easter cards with photos which were sent to family.

    An Easter hamper raffle was held with all donations going to Orchard’s chosen charity ‘Chelsea’s Angels’.

    Finally, the all-important Easter treats were enjoyed by all.

    Kelly & Karen baked easter chocolate rice krispies cakes and decorated easter biscuits while other residents used their creative skills to work on posters and decorations for the home.

  • Perfectly painted eggs from the talented students of Purbeck View School.

    Colourful Easter trees, table decorations and a lot of papier mache balloon eggs were the order of the day at Gayton Road, where the residents loved making their home look festive.

  • Exciting activities at Wheatsheaf House, from painting pictures of chicks, a bonnet making contest and the popular ‘Throw the Carrot to the Bunny’ game which entertained residents and staff.

    The Mallards certainly made the most of their garden with a very active egg hunt where they had to ‘Find an egg and hop on one leg’ along with decorating a brilliant bunny Easter tree. Residents also created some lovely Easter themed collages.

  • Fenton Grange Home displayed their playful side with cute sheep treats, egg and spoon races in the garden and vibrant painted eggs.

    May Morning made and painted this green frame to really make their Easter photos pop!

    We’re sure they worked up an appetite for this incredible spread – delicious!

  • The students were hot on the trail of chocolate during the Easter Egg Hunt!

    Hill House also tucked into this superb cake made by their Speech & Language therapist Kirsty, who is an amazing baker – she won first prize in their team bake off!

    Beautiful baskets and crafts made by the residents of St Agnells, who kept themselves amused with an Easter joke or two!
