We will continue to stream a weekend Mass online. The link can be accessed directly on our website (Note: Church is closed to the public during that time).

TV Ministry: For those who do not have access to a computer, the TV Ministry of the Diocese of Worcester is working together with Spectrum / Charter on Channel 193 from the Cathedral of St. Paul in Worcester. Sunday Mass is at 10 am and 6:00 pm. Daily Mass is at 9 am each weekday.

When we cannot attend Mass and cannot receive Holy Communion, it is recommended that we make a “Spiritual Communion”.

To do this, begin by examining your conscience and making a good Act of Contrition. Then pray one of the prayers recommended by the Saints for inviting Christ into your heart, such as this:

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love you above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot receive you now sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

PRAYER IN TIME OF PANDEMIC

God, whose Only Begotten Son bore the weight of human suffering for our salvation, hear the prayers of your Church for our sick brothers and sisters and deliver us from this time of trial.

Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your son: Be not afraid, for I am with you always.

Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants; give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour, that we might gather once again to praise your name in the heart of your Church, delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Prayer to Virgin Mary for Protection Pope Francis

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross, you participated in Jesus’ pain with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
