Hello!Cadbury and Bunny want to ensure that families

everywhere have a cracking Easter by helping

to create eggstra special egg hunts for you

to do at home.

Your Easter egg hunt can be as long or short,

as challenging or as easy as you like, but Cadbury

and Bunny are here to make sure they’re as fun

as possible!

You’ll find lots of fun-filled and easy to use ideas

and tips on how to create an egg hunt for your

family. There’s also helpful things to print out such

as Bunny ear templates to decorate (and help turn

your little ones into bunnies), signage and

clue suggestions and even Bunny footprints to

help your family along the way.

We’ve split the hunts up into three and

have tailored the activities and types of clue

to different abilities, so we know there’ll be

something to suit everyone!

Choose Your Hunt

Easy Peasy

If you’re rushed off your feet there’s no need

for tricky clues, you can still make a great

Easter Egg Hunt! This hunt is based around

scattering the eggs in the garden for your

family to collect. Easy peasy. You’ll need: Easter goodies. Optional

footprints, balloons.

You’ll need: Easter goodies, written clues.

Optional: Bunny footprints, signage, notes

from Bunny.

Tough to Crack

For egg hunters who want a challenge, why

not make the clues harder (yet still fun!)

with riddles, or word clues. The clues could

even lead your family to harder to find

places such as next to a certain flower in

the garden or behind a particular DVD on

the shelf.

Tricky-ish

Using simple pictures, draw a set of clues of

where the eggs are hidden. These could be a

mixture of easier to find ones such as under

a kitchen chair and slightly harder ones like

under a flower pot.

Easy Peasy

Setting up your hunt

No clues are needed for this hunt; simply scatter the eggs around

the garden in plain sight for your family to collect. It’s easy

and fun!

To help everyone find all of the eggs why not tie purple balloons

to some of them to make it even more fun, as well as giving your

family a little extra treat!

Tricky-ish Setting up your hunt

Draw simple pictures of where the eggs are hidden. These could

be a mixture of easier to find ones such as under a kitchen chair

and slightly harder ones like behind a flowerpot.

If you’re not artistic, don’t worry, we’ve drawn some for you! Take

a look at the back of this hunt pack, then you can simply print

them out and get hiding.

Tough to Crack Setting up your hunt

For egg hunters looking for a challenge, why not make the clues harder (yet

still fun!) with riddles, or word clues. The clues could even lead your family

to harder to find places such as next to a certain flower in the garden or

behind a particular DVD on the shelf.

Hand them their first clue to solve. The next clues should be hidden with

the eggs, directing them to the next egg and clue, and then the next,

and the next…

If you’re not much of a wordsmith don’t worry as we’ve created some

in the template section for you to print off and use!

Bunny footprints

Add some magic to the hunt and make it

look like Bunny’s been.

Print out Bunny’s footprints and leave them dotted

around the house or garden close to the eggs to

use as eggstra hints.

SignagePrint out our signposts and write fun

and helpful messages to post around the

house or garden. Sign them from Bunny.

‘Warmer’!

‘Colder!’

‘What’s behind the tree?’

‘Not this way!’

Notes from Bunny

Leave eggstra notes from Bunny at each clue point to keep your family active, for younger family these could be simple

activities such as: ‘Do 5 star jumps

on the spot’

Bunny Basket

All Easter egg hunters need a basket to collect their

Easter eggs in so why not make your own!

You will need: Scissors

A cereal box

Glue

A stapler

Colourful wrapping paper

A pen or pencil

A ruler (optional)

Tissue paper (optional)

1.Make the base

of your basket

Take your cereal box and

draw a straight line around

the box (use a ruler if you

need to), about one third

of the way up the box.

This will be the size of

your basket!

3. Cut it all out!

If your family are helping

you make the basket, be sure that a parent or

guardian is there to help

and keep everyone safe!

Start at the top cutting

out the handle from the

open flap at the top and

when you get down to the

basket section, turn the

scissors to cut out the

basket. Be careful not to

cut off the handle!

4.Make it all

colourful!Use some colourful paper

with an Easter theme if

possible and cut out the

right size shapes to cover your cardboard basket. Glue the shapes

around the basket and

on the handle.

5. Fix the handle!

Once it’s all dry, you’ll need

to make the handle. The

handle will be attached on

one side but to make it a

basket the handle needs

to work properly. To do this,

make an arch with the

handle over to the other

side – make sure the other end sits on the inside of the basket and then staple in place.

6. Get hunting!

Fill your finished basket

with some ripped up pieces

of tissue paper so eggs

have a soft nest to be

kept in while your family

do some hunting!

2.Make the handle

At the middle of the basket

you’ve drawn, on one side

draw two parallel, vertical

lines up from the middle of

the basket to make the handle.

Make Your Own Bunny Ears

Dressing like Bunny is a fun way to get into the Easter feeling!

Use our instructions and template below for some

fantastic bunny ears.

Supplies Needed:

The ears template

Scissors

Plain A4 pieces of paper

Sticky tape

Crayons, colouring pens

or coloured pencils

1. Start with the ears!

Print out the ears template in the

next section – depending on how

many people need ears make sure you

print enough copies – and cut them

out. Then fold the bottom at the

dashed line.

3. Decorate!

Get crayons, pens, pencils, stickers

– anything fun and colourful – for

everyone to decorate their own ears.

5. Hop to it!

Now you’ve all got your bunny ears it’s

time to get on with your Egg Hunt.

Have fun!

4. Put it all together!

Once everyone has decorated their

ears, use the folded section of the

ears and then tape this onto the long

strip of paper. Then wrap the long bit

around every person’s head and take

the two ends together.

2. Make the band!

For the head band, take your plain

pieces of paper and cut them along

the portrait length of the paper in

equal widths. Everyone has a different

sized head so tape the lengths

together to the right size for each

person’s head. Make sure you don’t

tape the ends together.

Make sure a parent or guardian is

always helping when using scissors!

Stay Eggstra Safe

Make sure your family set safe boundaries for the

egg hunt. For example if it’s in the garden, make

sure they know not to go past the fence or out of

the gate. If there are a few people taking part this

will help in keeping everyone in one place and stop

anyone wandering off.

Keep the eggs at or below eye level so

they don’t try to climb on things

Don’t hide the eggs around breakable items

Keep eggs away from nettles or thorny foliage

Don’t hide the eggs in holes in tree trunks or

in the ground as you don’t know what else has

crawled in there

Enjoy the hunt! For more Easter activities and recipes,
