East Side Jam – Lublin / June 7st, 2014And so it begins – we are officially launching the preparations for this year's East Side Jam – an annual event taking place in Lublin – aiming to encourage rollerbladers from all over the Poland and abroad to compete.

East Side Jam is mainly driven from a will to promote our incredible passion which is rollerblading, to a wider audience. Being the only strictly „street” event of this type in Poland – East Side Jam preserves the spirit and the essence of this tradition and for the 7th time allows everyone to get to know who is the best street rider in the country.

The organisers – East Side Group – will provide a one of a kind experience during the first weekend of June, starting 07.06.2014. Everyone will have the chance to discuss the whole day of the competition at the big East Side Jam After Party, an event that is popular every year and is an essential part of the weekend.

East Side Jam is one of the key contests of Polish Rolling League. Riders can gain extra points for the annual ranking, which surely helps more skaters to make a decision to compete.

Sebastian Gruba (Hedonskate)Over the last 15 years „aggressive” rollerblading has spread all over Poland. Every part of the country is more or less known for an annual, unique competition. Everyone knows the Rollfest in Triocity, Never Winter Jam in Wroclaw or one of a kind East Side Jam in Lublin. What stands out in Lublin is the fact of preserving the „spirit” of a street oriented passion which is rollerblading. The whole event takes place in a natural „street” habitat, which forces riders to achieve the highest technical skating skills and gives them the ability to compete with the top Polish riders. In result, the 7th edition of East Side Jam becomes a wonderful part of the Pollish Rolling League, which in this year is proudly announced as „back to the roots”, as in a controlled retirement from having too many skate-park competitions.

Przemek Madej (Hedonskate, Usd, New Era, Intruz)East Side Jam is a special event, not only because it is a once a year opportunity to compete with the best polish rollerbladers away from a skatepark. ESJ is unique mostly because of the atmosphere both before, during and after the contest. It's not one of those events where half of the people leave for home after the results are announced, and definitely not one of those where the after party is off. East Side Jam is not those few hours of competition, it is a whole

weekend in Lublin.

Paweł Komosa (Polish Rolling League organiser)East Side Jam is currently the oldest polish street event, which has been taking place for a good few years. LBN crew is one of the few groups in Poland that, besides the time passing, changes inmembers' lifes and so on, can still take action and do something for the fans of rollerblading from all over the country. An event that always has a great atmosphere, and gives a lot of joy both to the contestants and spectators. Also the great after party makes everyone happy to visit Lublin. It can be stated with all the responsibility that ESJ is an irreplaceable event!

Adam Olejniczak (Rollerblade)It took me a while to make the first trip to ESJ, once it is a far drive, secondly Lublin never appealed to me, despite the fact I have visited it for skating before. How surprised I was when I finally made it there in 2010. Since that ESJ is in my opinion the best cometition in Poland. Perfect organisation, going very well for a street contest, the hospitality of Lublin locals, a beatiful old town, where you can party with comapny of other rollerbladers, the finest skating by people from all over the country – this all makes me can't wait to arrive in Lublin

for the 2014 ESJ.
