East Lancashire Scouts Plus - November/December 2012

TRANSCRIPT

Never pass up an opportunity to go to a Jamboree,

regardless of when and where it is. I have made some life long friendships at

Jamborees in the UK and in

Sweden. You only get one chance to attend a World Jamboree as a participant,

but after that you can go to as many as you like as IST!

-Chris Mercer

After going down with 13 Leaders & venture scouts in 2000, I have

since been back every 4 years to Essex Jamboree to work on Site

Services or Facilities as we were called this time. I call this group of

people my second family as they don't care who you are or where

you are from as long as you are prepared to work & play hard. Some

of my best friendships have been formed from this team of people &

the journey home is a reluctant one. Can't wait for four years to pass

till I start packing my gear & setting off again.

-Lee Allan

Can a Young Person hold a permit?

Why does the permit holder not need to have a valid first aid qualification?

Why aren’t archery or shooting included?
