Asbestos fibers can be nearly 700 times smaller than human hair

Asbestos fibers can be inhaled eas-ily and are difficult for the lungs to expel because each fiber has a tiny barb like a fish hook

Asbestos fibers are indestructible odorless and tasteless and can re-main suspended in the air for hours

Asbestos related diseases include Lung Cancer Mesothelioma and Asbestosis

Specialty contractors like JM En-

vironmental Inc must be certified to perform the removal of asbestos specially trained to ensure Zero Ex-posure to or Cross Contamination from Asbestos Containing Building Materials on all job sites A certified provider will use required safety measures like polyethylene sheeting waste disposal bags and HEPA filtra-tion systems These safety measures reduce the risk of bystander exposure to the Hazardous Materials being removed In working with an asbestos abate-ment contractor be sure they abide by the strict compliance require-ments of OSHA EPA and Air Qual-ity Regulatory Agencies
