MERU Upon arrival you’ll be personally met and privately transferred to Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge in the foothills of Mount Meru. (dinner) Day 2: Friday, June 21st MT. MERU Your journey begins with a game drive in the nearby Arusha National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Momela Lakes before returning to Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge for dinner and overnight. (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Day 3: Saturday, June 22nd TARANGIRE Saturday starts off with a morning drive through Arusha town and onto the Maasai Plains into Tarangire National Park. A game drive will take you to a beautiful lookout over the Tarangire River where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch. The afternoon is spent game viewing through the park to Oliver’s Camp for dinner and overnight. (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Day 4: Sunday, June 23rd TARANGIRE Another full day to explore and game view in the national park. Meals and overnight at Oliver’s Camp. (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Day 5: Monday, June 24th KARATU Enjoy a morning game view north through the park, followed by a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll drive into the spectacular Great Rift Valley up the Manyara escarpment for three nights at one of Tanzania’s most loved and luxurious hill resorts, Gibb’s Farm. Along the way there will be opportunities to visit a Maasai curio market. Dinner and overnight at Gibb’s Farm. (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Day 6: Tuesday, June 25th LAKE MANYARA Experience a dawn game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic breakfast. You will return to Gibb’s Farm for a late lunch and free afternoon. Gibb’s offers a number of optional activities including mountain biking, visits to nearby schools and towns, guided walks, farm tours and a variety of local spa treatments including consultation with a local Maasai shaman. Day 1: Thursday, June 20th ARRIVE KILIMANJARO/MT. MERUUpon arrival you’ll be personally met and privately transferred to Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge in the foothills of Mount Meru. (dinner)

Day 7: Wednesday, June 26th NGORONGORODawn game drive into Ngorongoro Crater National Park. You’ll enjoy a picnic breakfast at a lake often filled with hippo. Return to the farm for a late lunch and another free afternoon. Meals and overnight at Gibb’s Farm. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 8: Thursday, June 27th NGORONGORO/OLDUVAI/SERENGETIIn the morning, drive along the crater on a spectacular trip into the Serengeti. Stop at Olduvai Gorge for a brief tour before continuing into the western corridor of the Serengeti. Depending on the weather, the migration of wildebeest is often found at this time of the year. Dinner and overnight at Soroi Lodge. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 9 & Day 10: Friday, June 28th & Saturday, June 29th SERENGETITwo full days of game viewing throughout the Serengeti. You’ll encounter woodlands which surround open areas usually packed with impala. On Saturday, your picnic lunch will be around the Seronera Valley, famous for its leopard. (breakfast, lunch, dinner daily)

Day 11: Sunday, June 30th SERENGETIThe day is available for enjoying the beautiful northern area of the Serengeti. Game drive at your discretion. Meals and overnight at Sayari Camp. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 12: Monday, July 1st Morning flight from a nearby airstrip back to Arusha, where a vehicle and driver will meet you and take you to shopping and lunch. In the afternoon, continue back to Kilimanjaro Airport where everyone has a private room at the adjacent KIA Lodge. The lodge will shuttle individuals to the terminals for their departures home. (breakfast)

Travel day: Tuesday, July 2nd

Cost includes: $200 donation to the Cleveland Zoological Society; accommodations as named; meals as shown in brackets at the end of each day’s description; private, specially outfitted 4x4 Landrover or Landcruiser(s) with a covered pop-top roof for optimum game viewing driven by a professionally-trained, English-speaking driver/guide; all game park fees and taxes, V.A.T. and training levies; one internal flight: Serengeti to Arusha; and guiding and accompanied by Steve Taylor throughout.

Not included: All international air fare; meals not shown; most beverages; tipping; requisite documentation and health precautions; insurance; anything described as optional; all items of a personal nature like maps and books; and anything not specifically mentioned above.
