DAY 3 Nairobi ▶ Aberdares

Today after breakfast, yourdriver guide will transfer youto the Giraffe Centre for amorning visit. Visit GiraffeCentre and Daphne Sheldrick’sOrphanage. After lunch, drivenorth to Aberdare CountryClub (180km, approximately3hrs drive) arriving in theevening. Spend the rest of theday at leisure at the lodge.

DAY 4 Morning Game Drive

DAY 5 Lake Nakuru National ParkAfter breakfast, depart for a driveto Lake Nakuru and a brief stop atthe Rift Valley view point.Continue on to your lodge, arrivingin time for lunch. This afternoon,the safari adventure begins withthe first game-viewing drive toLake Nakuru National Park.The lake supports the blue-greenCyanophyte Spirulina Platensis,which is the main food source forthe brilliant pink flamingos thatcan be found wading on the lake'sedge. At times, there can be up totwo million greater and lesserflamingos and tens of thousands ofother birds. Food conditionschange periodically, and thenumber of birds fluctuates. Prides of lion, Cape Buffalo,waterbucks, wart hogs, theendangered Rothschild Giraffe,Black & White Rhino, Burchell’sZebra, impalas, and the elusiveleopard are among the manyspecies of animals that make thispark their home. After the safari,return to the lodge for dinner andovernight.

DAY 6 Lake Nakuru National Park

DAY 7 Lake Nakuru ▶ Masai MaraToday after an early breakfast,depart for world famous MasaiMara Game Reserve with shortstopovers on the way (260km,approximately 5.5hrs drive). In theafternoon proceed on a game drivein the world famous reserve. TheMasai Mara is an extension of theSerengeti ecosystem to the south.Game abounds here, particularlywhen the migration is on, andmillions of wildebeests and zebrasmake their way back and forthacross the Mara River on theirannual trek. After breakfast at the club,enjoy an excursion in AberdareNational Park for a half daygame drive. The Kenya WildlifeService and Rhino Ark, acharity dedicated to theprotection of the area and itswildlife, run Aberdare NationalPark. Aberdare is home to thesecond largest herd ofendangered black rhinos.Many Kenyan animals can beseen here including Africanelephants, lions, rhinos, blackleopard and the elusive bongoantelope. After your gamedrive, return to AberdareCountry Club for lunch andthe rest of the afternoon atyour leisure.

DAY 9 Masai Mara Game Reserve ▶ Serengeti National Park

Early breakfast and check out. It’stime to leave Kenya and travel toTanzania via the Isebania & Sirariborder where your driver/guideswill assist with immigrationprocedures. (approximately 7hrsdrive). During the drive, a picniclunch will take place. The border iscrossed on foot and vehicles anddriver guides exchanged. Meet onthe Tanzania side of the border byyour driver guides. The worldfamous Serengeti National Parkcovers an area of 5700 square milesis Tanzania's oldest park, and oneof the world's last great wildliferefuges. The Serengeti ecosystemsupports the greatest remainingconcentration of plains game inAfrica, including more than 2,500lions and over one millionwildebeests. Arriving at yourSerengeti lodge, check-in andenjoy an included dinner.

DAY 11 Serengeti National Park ▶ Ngorongoro FarmhouseHand plaited thatched roof tops,ample verandas and colonialinteriors at Ngorongoro FarmHouse, a small and exclusive hotelbuilt on a 500 acre coffeeplantation, all of which has beendesigned to take you to thecomfort and style of past times. Take a walk around the farm tocontemplate the daily activities,relax in the fragrant gardens.

DAY 12 Free Day at Ngorongoro Conservation AreaAfter breakfast, depart for theNgorongoro Conservation Areawith a picnic Lunch.Descend to the NgorongoroCrater which has the largestunbroken caldera in the worldand has been described as one ofthe great natural wonders of theworld. Almost every species ofAfrican plains mammal lives inthe crater, including theendangered Black Rhino.

DAY 13 Ngorongoro National Park ▶ Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for TarangireNational Park stopping enroute atMto Wa Mbu Village.Mto wa Mbu, a Swahili wordmeaning “mosquito creek”, is acultural melting point and aconvergence for many of the ethniccommunities that live in this smalltown of about 30,000 inhabitants.You will take a cultural tour of areaby walking through the streets ofthe small town and interacting withthe locals. Take time to visit thelocal markets, farms and a school.Lunch will be provided at a localrestaurant in Mto wa Mbu village.After lunch, proceed on a gamedrive in Tarangire National Park.

DAY 14 Tarangire National ParkEnjoy an exciting morning andafternoon safari. Herds of elephantsscratch the dry bed of the TarangireRiver searching for undergroundstreams, while migratorywildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala,gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowdthe shrinking lagoons. It's thegreatest concentration of wildlifeoutside the Serengeti ecosystem - asmorgasbord for predators – andthe one place in Tanzania wheredry-country antelope such as thestately Fringe- Eared Oryx andpeculiar Long-Necked Gerenuk areregularly observed.

After breakfast, depart with picniclunch boxes for a full day of gameviewing drives on the Serengetiplains. ‘Serengeti’ is derived froma word meaning ‘the place wherethe land runs on forever’, and thevast national park remains true toits name. Aside from being spoiledby the variety of wildlife and birdspecies of the Serengeti, itslandscape is stunningly beautiful,especially in the early morningand late evening light. Elephant,buffalo, lion, rhino, zebra, giraffeand others may be spotted duringyour Serengeti adventure.An early morning optionalexcursion, Balloon Safari at Dawn,prior to the included game drive,may be available (weatherpermitting, extra cost).
