All the three terminals of JNPT has eliminated Form 13 & 11 w.e.f. 23.02.2015, by

developing a software solution for web based e-form 13.

Even after On-line approval by Customs, Customs demands hard copy of Shipping Bill

and / or Container Loading Plan (CLP)

2. Inter Terminal Movement of Tractor Trailers Inter-Terminal Transfer of Tractor-Trailers (TT) from JNPCT to GTI has started w.e.f. 13.02.2015.

Second leg of Inter-Terminal Transfer from GTI to JNPCT has started w.e.f. 24.02.2015 and JNPCT & NSICT (vice-versa) w.e.f 24.03.2015.

Remaining leg of this facility, from GTI to NSICT and vis-a-versa also started w.e.f. 06.06.2016

Total 210,609 trucks have availed this facility from inception of this facility.

This helped in reduction of at least 7.5 kms movement of trailer on road which has helped in reduction of pollution, fuel saving, environment friendly, reduction of empty truck movement, reduction of turnaround time of trucks and cost of handling.

Total DPD during first 2 months of FY 2016-17 (Apr & May): 13,416 TEUs as against 11,562 TEUs, showing a growth of 16.04% over same period last year.

Present ACP Client List: 372 as on 06.06.2016

DPD Client at JN Port: 26

JNPCT: 18, NSICT: 18, APMT: 23

11. Installation of additional Container Scanners

Select commodities require container scanning by Customs. Container scanning leads to higher truck turn round time. To reduce detention due to scanning IPA is installing new container scanners. At JNPT, Location for installation of additional scanners has been identified in

consultation with Customs. After completion of the project, all the terminals will have independent

Container Scanners for smooth operations.

12. Implementation of RFID

Out of the four container terminals operating in JN Port, NSICT & APMT have completed the RFID based Gate Automation work.

JNPCT & NSIGT are in the process of implementing the same.
