On Saturday 25 April, Nepal was rocked by

a catastrophic earthquake, its worst in living memory.

More than 6,000 people have been confirmed dead, with

many more still trapped under rubble. Over 8 million people have been affected.

Countless homes and livelihoods as well as crucial infrastructure and historical sites have been destroyed.

In some places, whole villages have been buried.
