ITINERARY

DAY 1 | SATURDAY VENICE

Upon arrival to Venice make your own way to Venice’s San Basilio Port to board m/s Monet cruise ship, your home for next eight days. Enjoy a late afternoon champagne welcome where you will meet your Cruise Director and the crew who will take care of your needs during your cruise. Start your evening with dinner and mingle with fellow cruise mates, followed by an evening at the salon and evening cordials.

DAY 2 | SUNDAY ZADAR

After a good night’s rest and energizing breakfast your day will start with city tour of Zadar. Explore the rich history of Zadar as you tour the city walls and gates such as the Gate of St. Rok, the only remains of the ancient Roman and early medieval fortifications. For sure a trip to Zadar will not be complete without experiencing its unique attraction, the Sea Organ. It’s a musical marvel you have to see to believe as this experimental instrument plays music by way of the sea waves. Relax and take a seat on its marble steps and watch nearby islands as you listen to the harmonic sounds that travel through a resonating cavity and tubes underneath water. Upon return to ship, enjoy a high–tea prepared for you at the salon. Captain’s dinner will be served this evening. Calling it a night with a glass of port or cognac is always good idea.

DAY 3 | MONDAY KORCULA After breakfast you will start your morning Korcula walking on a sightseeing tour. Korčula Island is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic and it’s one of those destinations that have something for everybody. Korcula is the birthplace to famous world explorer Marco Polo where his house is open to tourists. Famous for its vineyards, olive groves and its spectacular Old Town, Korčula is the perfect holiday destination for food and wine connoisseurs, island lovers and culture vultures alike.

DAY 4 | TUESDAY DUBROVNIK After early breakfast morning tour of the old city of Dubrovnik. The Old City has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Portions of the wall date back to the 13th century. The ramparts are intact and encircle the old city with a circumference of more than 1.5 miles. Don’t miss the chance to take a walking tour along its length for a spectacular view of the city it surrounds. We recommend that you try to make a trip and enjoy a cable car ride to Srd Hill for spectacular views of Dubrovnik Old Town and its entire Riviera. Dinner on board.

DAY 5 | WEDNESDAY SPLIT Enjoy your breakfast knowing you are in Split, Croatia’s grand 1,700-year-old city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a home to Diocletian’s Palace which is one of the best-preserved Roman royal residences on the planet. Built on the seacoast of Split around 295 AD, the structure is more like a city housing sixteen towers, three temples and an emperor’s mausoleum. Split, Croatia’s grand 1,700-year-old city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On a walking tour, marvel at its rich culture Renaissance and Gothic architecture. Admire its lovely peristyle courtyard, Cathedral of St. Domnius, and Roman temples. Dinner on board.

DAY 6 | THURSDAY SIBENIK One of the oldest Croatian towns on the Adriatic, Sibenik is famous for the Cathedral of St James which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sibenik is also famous for two nearby National Parks. One of Croatia’s fantastic National Parks, Paklenica has wonderful geological features and is popular with hikers and climbers. Another one, Krka National Park lies only 6 Miles/10km inland from Sibenik. Named after the Krka River, the Park covers an area of just over 85 square miles/142 square km and includes two thirds of the river itself. The top attraction of the Park is its magnificent waterfalls.

DAY 7 | FRIDAY PULA The most famous sight in Pula – of course – is the Roman amphitheater, which is called  The Arena. Built during the 1st century AD and completed under the reign of Emperor Flavius, this amphitheater is the sixth largest in the world (of those that still exist). The three-story structure held 23,000 spectators in Roman times and today hosts numerous concerts and events throughout the year. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a delightful Farewell dinner before sailing away to Italy.

DAY 8 | SATURDAY VENICE Upon arrival to Venice and morning breakfast your journey will come to an end, but you will carry with you long lasting memories to treasure forever. Make your own transfer to Venice airport or explore further this amazing part of Europe.
