What is earth day ?

earth day is a day to honor the earth and it beauty. The earth isn’t as nice as it use to be so to honor the earth we clean it up. We should keep the earth clean so that it can last forever.

Where did it all begin ?

• earth day started in 1970 and was a day to honor the earth. Earth day is celebrated each year to help clean the earth and is celebrated on April 22nd . Some people litter and don’t care about the earth. When people litter they damage the land and can harm and even kill animals.

Who founded it ?• Gaylord nelson founded earth day with his cofounder Isa einhorn.

Gaylord was a American politician from Wisconsin who then served as a u.s. governor and senator .

What you could do to celebrate earth day • There are many ways to celebrate earth day. You could plant a tree,

start a garden, help pick up trash, or recycle. Basically any thing that helps the earth.

Issues with the earth

• Pollution • Pollution is one of the biggest problems in America. It is one of the

biggest problems because we pollute so much. Cars, planes, ships, trains, and factories All cause air pollution. They release toxic fumes into the air and it effects the earth.• Wildlife • Wild life population is getting smaller and smaller do to pollution and

natural causes if we recycle it can help species from going extinct.

What can you do

• There are many ways to help the earth but I am just going to name a few simple things that you could do daily. • 1: recycle trash to help stop littering• 2: try to walk or bike more to places to help air pollution. • 3: start a garden • 4 plant a tree• 5: turn off the lights when you are not using them.
