Poster Contest

Attention K-5 Teachers!!

The Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Natural Resources,

and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development invite students to

celebrate Earth Day 2018 by competing in a Poster Contest! Judges will select a 1st and 2nd place winner from each grade – Kindergarten

through 5th. Winners will be invited to receive their awards at the Earth Day

2018 Celebration!

Who? Any student from Kindergarten through 5th grade is eligible to participate. One student name per poster please.

What? We are looking for posters that emphasize Earth Day! This is a day to celebrate our environment: air, water, land, wildlife, and ecosystems! The posters must represent one or more Earth Day themes.

Where? The Winners of the Earth Day Poster Contest will be honored Thursday April 19 2018, at Constitutional Hall in Lansing, Michigan as part of our Earth Day Celebration!

When? All original entries must be received by February 16, 2018. Winners will be notified by March 23, 2018 and the award presentation will take place on

Thursday, April 19, 2018 at our Earth Day Celebration.

Earth Day 2018 Poster Contest

Poster size is typically 11” x 17” paper; it must fit into a 16” x 20” frame. Posters can be full color or black and white, and made with crayon, colored pencil, watercolor, pen, marker, or paint.

Please refrain from using glue, adhesives, glitter, etc. as this can be damaging to other post-ers.

We regret that we will not be able to return your entry.
