OPening the dOOr fOr Other members Or guests: We are again reminding ALL members dO nOt OPen the dOOr fOr Others. There are valid reasons for this policy: I) The bartender on duty can ensure guests are signed in (In compliance with MLCC laws). 2) The person entering is not de-linquent in dues, or a dropped member. 3) The person ringing the doorbell may need to see an officer of the Aerie. We do understand that you may just be trying to help if you are sitting close to the door but it is the job of an employee to buzz the person(s) in.

Family picnic has great turnout There was a great turnout for the annual Family Picnic held on Saturday, August 19th. First-time picnic organizers Rob Spencer and Steve Lindsay did a terrific job. Checking in at the gate were 132 members, 53 guests which were adult kids of members and parents of members plus 117 kids 12 and under. New this year was pony rides and “Mader” the tow truck towing several cars around the yard for kids to ride in. Both things were very popular with all the kids, especially the younger ones. The food was really terrific and we thank Deb Wagg and Hezekiah Miller for the cooking of hot dogs, burgers and chicken. Yummy! Winners of the 2 bikes and Hot Wheels for toddlers were: girls Big Wheel age 3 and under - Adelyn Todd; boys Big Wheel 3 and under - Armanai Valdez; girl’s bike - Justine Loxton and boy’s bike - Ryan Lee. The bike’s were donated by Tim Brooks of the ACM Company and the Big Wheels were donated by the Ladies Auxiliary. There were other raffles of the day that included a grill, solar light, gift basket and beer stein. It could not have been a more perfect day weather wise. You could not have put in an order for how great the day was. Everyone that attended had a great time. If you have never attended one of these events, you should be sure and do so next year!
