We are looking forward to all of the accomplishments and excitement that comes with the end of a school year. As we are writing papers and showing our learning through individual projects, remind your students to think about their choices as we look forward to the end of the year incentive. We are excited to go on a bowling adventure, and encourage all students to meet expectations to participate! Look for our incentive criteria sent home in email, and talk to students about what they are working on in class! Our 7th graders have showed perseverance as they worked through our Forward testing the last two weeks, and we are so proud of their work! Remember to keep your chrome books charged and ready for class, and let your team leaders know if you have any questions.

The fourth quarter of the school year and some better weather is finally here. That means that students in our Physical Education classes will be starting outdoor activities for class. Although the weather is not always great for going outside, we will be enjoying the great outdoors whenever possible. Students are expected to wear appropriate clothes for the weather conditions. Being prepared for outside often means a warmer jacket or dressing in layers. Hats, gloves and most of all a good attitude help to make it a positive experience. Check with your specific Physical Education teacher for details on your up and coming units. Horace Mann Physical Education instructors continue to look for ways to improve the overall instruction of our PE classes. This spring expect your child to be encouraged to push themselves physically, mentally and socially as we round out the rest of the school year. Meeting these high expectations in class requires focus, organization, and commitment to being better tomorrow than you were today. That process starts at home. Help us help your child to succeed. Enjoy the spring season, get outside and be active when possible.
