1. ORIENTATION
Unlike other training programs, EA Ski & Snowboard Training ensure an experienced program manager are with the team from arrival, working with interns to sort tax numbers, mobile phones (for those who want
them) and any other important items that will assist their transition into their first winter season.
Key elements of the orientation include meeting the EA team, transitioning into your accommodation, receiving a run down on
where and when to meet, finalising tax numbers, sorting phone details and finally, getting your lift passes.

2. TRAINING
The EA ski training programs are developed to allow skiers and snowboarders to get qualifications and certification quickly, while developing skiing ability and allowing for loads of time on the slopes. Accommodation is provided so interns
will live and train together during their introduction to winter working life.
During your training interns will work with qualified instructors to understand the fundamentals for taking a ski lesson. From beginner ski coaching to providing
excellent customer service and working as part of the wider resort team.
The on snow training will include instruction and tips to improve the skiing or snowboarding abilities of all interns, in addition to workshop sessions to
understand the certification curriculum so passing the exam is a breeze. As well as other training programs your exam fees are included in your package so you
can focus on getting the most out of training with the peace of mind that your exam fees are taken care of.

VIEW RESOURCE >
EA Ski and Snowboard Internship and Instructor Courses allow you to obtain a range of globally
recognised certifications. Depending on the country you achieve your certification in this will be
accredited through one of the national organisations below.
The level one certification is for those entering the snow sports instruction industry. The exam focuses on the skills, knowledge and professionalism
necessary to be an effective ski or snowboard teacher.
The level one exam is between three and five days long (depending on the certifying body) and will include
on-hill teaching and demonstrations as well as a written theory component. At the end of the course you will be issued with a pass or fail result. Those that achieve this
certification are able to competently teach snow sports to beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders.

EA’s instructor internship allows skiers to become certified instructors and start working as a
ski instructor in the same season!
Upon completion of the training portion ofthe program, participants accept their
paid position as a ski or snowboard instructor at their resort of choice.
This is significant as the snowsports industryis highly competitive. Gaining practical,
teaching experience is a good way to get a leg up in this industry. The guaranteed job offer
therefore means that interns have a better chance to do future seasons around the globe. It is also
valuable work experience to add to any CV/resume.
