2 Timothy 4:9-18 (NASB) !

9 Make every effort to come to me soon; 10 for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.


11 Only Luke is with me. Pick up Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service. 12 But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.


13 When you come bring the cloak which I left at Troas with Carpus, and the books, especially the parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.


15 Be on guard against him yourself, for he vigorously opposed our teaching. 16 At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; may it not be counted against them.


17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully accomplished, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was rescued out of the lion’s mouth.


18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

ACTION STEPS FOR FORGIVENESS

Identify the people who have wronged you and the way(s) they have wronged you.




Make sure your conscience is clear toward each individual.




Choose to totally forgive each individual or group.

"While Scripture is full of stories, parable sand words about forgiveness, the heart of the matter is that it will not always be easy to forgive. People do horrible things to one another, and sometimes genuine forgiveness isn’t going to bring about the restoration of a relationship. This is especially so if the person in the wrong is unrepentant and unwilling to change. So, while it may be difficult to immediately forgive, we need to spend time dwelling on the fact that no matter what has been committed against us, it has been committed against God a thousand times over. This is yet another reason why genuine biblical community is so crucial to living a Christ-centered life, because we need help remembering who God is, and in turn, who that makes those of us who are His."
