‘QISFEST 2K19’ Poster has been released by Sri Nidamanuri
Nageswara Rao, the president, Principals of the group of
institutions and HODs.
A National Level and Prestigious Annual
Technical & Cultural Fest is going to be
celebrated on 8th and 9th March 2019 for the
academic year 2018-19.In this regard, ‘QISFEST
2K19’ Annual Poster has been released by Sri
Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao Garu, the president of
Sri Nidamanuri Educational Society and Sri
Nidamanuri Surya Kalyana Chakravarthy Garu,
the Secretary& Correspondent of QIS groups.
There are three divisions in this Fest namely, 1.
Technical, 2.Sports / Games and 3.Cultural.
“Technical part includes Workshop, Techno Quiz,
Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Tech Spot
Events and Project Expo. Sports and Games part
includes Volleyball, Basketball, and Kabaddi,
Table Tennis, Throw Ball and Chess. Cultural Part
includes Dance, Singing, Mimicre, Fashion Show,
Mono Action, Dialogue Delivery and Skit etc.”,
said Dr.D.BujjiBabu, the Convener of Fest.

The Chief Guest Sri Bhusarapu SatyaYesuBau,
S.P. of Prakasam District inaugurated the
handouts of 30th National Road Safety Week
programme. The Chief Guest said,“Around 400
die by road accidents and so many are remain
victims of road accidents every year.” “The
Primary reason for 50% death accidents is rash
driving of two wheelers and 90% death accidents
is driving without helmets”, said the Chief Guest.
He reiterated that everybody should use Helmet,
follow road safety rules, tie seat belt and not using
cell phones while driving vehicles to avoid road
accidents. Mr.BinduMadhav, Training IAS said
that we could not reduce natural deaths but we
could reduce the accidental deaths by following
the Road Safety Rules.
DISASTER MANAGEMENT
A Three day work shop on Disater Management
was conducted by Indian RedCross, district
yuvajana branch for B.Tech. Students. The chief
guest of the workshop was Dr. D.Ravikumar,
CEO, STEP and the Guest of Honour was Dr. G.
Raghava Rao, Chairman, IRCS. The resource
persons covered the salient points; how disasters
occur, how to face them, the reasons for disasters
and the actions to be taken for Disaster
Management.

Science Day Celebrations
Elocution competitions were conducted for the
students on the day as it was a Science day. The
Guests of the workshop handed over prizes to the
winners of competitions. Dr. C.V. Subba Rao,
Principal and NSS Director monitored the

QIS group of educational institutions celebrated
its 21st new year gathering in campus premises.
The sessions started warnly with a cake cutting by
the honourable President Sri
NidamanuriNageswara Rao garu wherein the
achievements of the college by various
departments were briefly summarised. On similar
lines, emphasis was given to further strengthen the
plan in the coming year and that it would be only
possible with the sustained efforts of all the QIS
family members. Calendars were distributed to the
members present at the gathering and the session
ended with warm refreshments

Awareness program on Healthy Living,
Healthy Plannet was organized by NSS Unit,
QISIT, on 5-2-19.Mr. Srikanth, the eminent
socialist from Bangalore, was the resource person.
In his address, he said, “We can control various
diseases by taking natural food and fruits.” He
explained the care we should take about our
health. He also said “The main reason for the
environmental pollution is utilization of chemicals
in our day today life”. He stressed the point,“It is
our responsibility to save our environment”. It
was supervised by NSS team and Ch.Srinivasa
Rao, Asst Professor, Basic Sciences and
Humanities.
II & III B.Tech CSE & ECE Students of Skill
Development Center visited “Pioneer Systems” at
Visakhapatnam.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT- POLAVARAM
Students at Polavaram project during their industrial visit
III B.Tech CIVIL Engineering students visited
polavaram project as part of their industrial visit. The
authorities of the project at the site explained about the
importance of the project, working process, latest
technology being used in the project, water storage
capacity, etc. to the students.
QISIT NSS Unit at JANMA BHOOMI MAAURU
QISIT got an opportunity to participate in a
prominent 10 day Janma Bhoomi Maauru
program which was conducted by Andhra Pradesh
state government in Ongole. As per the
instructions of JNTUK, the NSS team was trained

under the supervision of Janma Bhoomi
authorities and participated in gram shabha which
aims to reach the government schemes to every
poor person. As part of it, The NSS team actively
visited Islampeta and Gopalapuram and noted
various problems experienced by the gram sabha
and submitted to the authorities concerned. In a
view, it is to ensure that the government smoothly
caters its schemes to the needful.
This is a session to bring out awareness among
girls that girls undergo changes in their physical
and emotional states in their adolescent stages. In
this regard, Child welfare and women
development departments have organized a
training session with the name KISHORA VIKAS

This give training to the adolescent girls so that
they have a vision to build a bright future and how
they have to overcome problems or face the
barriers that come up in their path. This event was
conducted under the supervision of our QISIT
Principal Dr. C.V.Subba Rao.
A Two day Workshop on PYTHON was conducted to
III B.Tech CSE, IT and ECE students. The resource
person Mallipudi Prasanna raj from APSSDC,
addressed the students to learn python programme
skills.

python programme operating and its process with a
PPT to the students. Honourable President Sri

Skills was organized by the department of BS&H
for I B.Tech. Students on 26-3-19. The Resource
Person of the programme was Dr. Suresh Kumar,
Professor of English, Department of English,
Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur.
The Resource Person explained the importance of
Communication Skills. He also reiterated that
possessing degree certificate is only not enough

world but they should also have communication
skills in English. “Sometimes the job
opportunities and the job selection process are

A One Day guest lecture on ‘Electromagnetic
Theory’ was organized by Department of BS&H
for I B.Tech. Students on 29-3-19.The Resource
Persons of the programme were Dr.Dinakar,
Dr.Sourab Raj, Dr.Kishore and Dr.Sai Prasad,
NIT-Warangal.
The Resource Persons explained the important
matters on ‘Electromagnetic Theory and
Photonics’. They also reiterated how the
electromagnetic waves are used in present
technology with examples. They explained very
clearly about the light cells, its emissions and the
emissions of LED. The Students of I B.Tech got
their doubts clarified from the resource persons in
their physics subject for their semester exam.

A One Day awareness Program on Higher
Educational Opportunities in Overseas was
conducted 6/3/19 for third B.Tech Students by
Career Guidance Cell .

Kumar was the resource person. In his address, he
said, “Now-a-days the government and foreign
universities are providing education with a free of
cost for talented students.” Government schemes
are available for the students those who have less
than 8lakhs income per annum. Many poor
students are studying in Abroad through
PHOENIX Institution. He has given the details of
the entrance exams and syllabus of foreign
education. Later, he clarified the doubts asked by
the students. Nearly 400 students from ECE, CSE
and IT branches attended programme.

A One Day workshop on “Material Science and
Its Applications” was organized for I B Tech
students on 30-3-19. Dr Sumit Pramanik was the
resource person from SRM University. He
explained the applications of material science in
the field of engineering. He also said, ‘It is most
applicable in fiber and mechanical engineering
fields and the knowledge of which is more
advantageous.’ The session was followed by a
training in the laboratory. The students cleared
their doubts in physics during the session.

celebrated on 8th and 9th March 2019 for the
academic year 2018-19. Sri Nidamanuri
Nageswara Rao Garu, the president of Sri
Nidamanuri Educational Society said that India
had been developing equal to developed
Countries; for this, youth should work in their
mother India and her companies to publicize their
fame and name. He said that QIS had close
relation with different National and international
companies. The Principals of QIS Groups shared
the objectives and importance of QIS Fest 2K19.
In the technical symposium, the students from
different Engineering colleges participated very
enthusiastically in 253 Paper Presentations,123
Poster Presentations, Techno Quiz, Tech Spot
Events, Project Expo, Dance, Singing, Mimicry,
Fashion Show, Mono Action, Dialogue Delivery
and Skit etc. The stalls which were put for this
purpose entertained the audience. Sri Nidamanuri
Nageswara Rao Garu distributed prizes to the
students who showed their talent in the different
competitions in the closing ceremony.
