INTRODUCTION

The e-Post Office is the shopping portal of the world-renowned postal service on the Internet and an additional distribution channel.

It sells Stamps, Postcards, Packets, and Cartons and has services like courier, registering for electricity vendors, selling mobile cards, etc.

The e-Post Office is expanded permanently through new products and services.

MOTIVATION BEHIND THE PROJECTIt sells Stamps, Postcards & Envelopes to

customer living in any part of the world. Customer can browse any product for its price

and other details and can order the product. Customer has to pay order amount online

through credit cards. The main purpose of the system is to enable

customers to browse and order from any part of the world and hence increasing business scope.

DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING SYSTEMThe existing system is manual system. Needs

to be converted into automated system.Risk of mismanagement of data.Less Security.No proper coordination between different

Applications and Users.Fewer Users - Friendly.Accuracy not guaranteed.Not in reach of distant users.

SOLUTIONS TO THE EXISTING PROBLEMSUser friendliness is provided .It makes the overall project much easier and

flexible.There is no risk of data mismanagement at any

level.It provides security .Users from any part of the world can make use of

the system.New system will process accurate results.It is better in performance as compared to

existing one.

computerized.Orders are given through the online.Payments are done through online by using

credit cards.

FUNCTIONS OF MODULESRegistration Module In this module user has to register if he

wants to buy more products and he will order after the registration.

Product Module In this module user and admin can search

the product based on the id or name.Shopping cart Module When the user want to buy any product he

has to click on the button-shopping cart when he is click on the shopping card button

Shipping & Billing Module In this module if user want to buy the

product then he has to give the information about him in the form of shipping or billing details.

Payment Module In this module user has to give his credit or

debit card information and then he has to give his pin no.

Admin Module In this module admin will manage the entire

product if he want to add the product he will add the products. .

FUTURE IMPROVEMENTSThis System being web-based and an

undertaking of Cyber Security Division, needs to be thoroughly tested to find out any security gaps.

 Made available to allow the personnel to

monitor on the sites which were cleared for hosting during a particular period.

Further the system may be utilized in various other types of auditing operation viz.

LIMITATIONSThe size of the database increases day-by-day,

increasing the load on the database back up and data maintenance activity.

Training for simple computer operations is necessary for the users working on the system.
