October 2017 will be a very busy month! We will award scholarships to teachers before our October 3rd meeting.

These funds will allow them to purchase additional supplies for their classroom, or attend an in-service seminar. Teachers day is not over when the last bell rings. They are correcting papers and preparing lessons. They deserve our respect and support..

October 21st is the first day of the Scottish Rite reunion in Tampa. If you have ever wanted to learn the secrets of the 4th through the 32nd Degrees. It is a graduate course on Masonry!

My Brothers, our first mentees to be assigned Mentors from the very beginning of their initiation are Bros Chuck Reeves and Peyton Helphinestine.Alex Villegas and myself are co-mentors for both brothers. In our expanded Mentor program we not only have the wonderful pre-degree talks by our handsome Chaplain, Rev. Bro. Dore' Patlian, we also try to have contact with the mentees and someone from the Lodge other than the catechism teacher every two weeks. Our Lodge makes this easier on everyone by having Masonic Fun Nights the second and 4th Wednesdays at 7:00pm at various places that are announced at our Stated Communications. The Fun Night accomplishes two purposes.: Fun and its"s a great chance to get to know our newest Brothers and help them bond with the Lodge. The Fun Nights are organized and run by Bro Roland Yates and Bro Wink Thornton. These are fun loving guys so you know they are going to be a lot of fun! Come on out 2nd and 4th Wednesday.

My Brothers,When I look back upon this summer, all I can say is WOW, the human spirit is amazing. People helping their neighbors and strangers without hesitation. People thankful for their lives, even when they have lost everything., yet helping others. These are the qualities all good Masons already have! When we put aside external concerns , we can focus on what is really important..life, a gift from the Great Architect. Be here! Come and sit with us. That is how Masonry gets into our hearts and minds!
