The ventilation system includes heat recovery to greatly reduce the cost of energy to keep this hatchery running at optimal conditions every day of the year in both hot and cold weather. Working with Zeus controls and the Commodore control software, Sadiq will be able to manage and monitor the hatchery ventilation to optimize the room environments and maximize bio-security in the flow of air throughout this large building. Congratulations to Sadiq Poultry on the completion of this new facility that will set the standard for single stage hatcheries in Pakistan.

Sadiq Poultry Inaugurates New Hatchery in Pakistan

ETS Daviet in France Updates its Hatchery

One of the leading companies in Pakistan, Sadiq Poultry, has just completed and commissioned its new single stage hatchery. With ChickMaster Avida A24 setters and C204 hatchers, this modern facility is a state-of-the-art hatchery that is extremely impressive in its design and function. Sadiq chose ChickMaster to supply its first single stage hatchery based on their confidence in our ability to service and support this large project. Not only does it include the best single stage Avida incubation systems, but also a Central Ventilation System designed and supplied by ChickMaster. hickMaster was pleased to hold another in a series of Hatchery in Harmony technical incubation seminars on May 5th and 6th in Lujan, Argentina. Organized by ChickMaster in association with its sales representative in Argentina, EXIM International Ltda., the two day event held just outside Buenos Aires was attended by more than 140 individuals from the Argentine poultry industry.

It started the evening before with a typical Argentine “asado” with enough food and more to set the stage for the busy day that followed. Besides the food, the welcome evening event also included local entertainment that gave the group something to laugh about.o

The next day was a technical seminar that included presentations by several individuals about maximizing hatchery production and efficiency. Dr. Mike Wineland, who has spent most of his career teaching at North Carolina State University and consulting many international poultry companies, made two detailed presentations based on his extensive experience and knowledge. One concentrated on the development and needs of the embryo during the 21 day cycle of incubation. The second covered important signs to look for in managing and improving results when looking at the egg residue and baby chicks. o Carolina Diaz (DMV) and a member of the ChickMaster support team discussed how the incubator and embryo

Over 140 attend ChickMaster Seminar in Argentina C work together during the incubation cycle and the

importance of uniform conditions to maximize production of quality chicks with a well-controlled hatch window. Carolina, who has travelled to several countries to visit ChickMaster hatcheries, also presented several tools to measure egg and embryo temperature to obtain better control on improving the hatch process.O

ChickMaster was able to include Ing. Andrea Dribin from Las Camelias in Entre Rios, Argentina, in the program to share some of her experiences managing the hatchery operations of this large company. One of their hatcheries has ChickMaster Classic multistage setters and Avida single stage setters in the same building. Several years ago Las Camelias installed a ChickMaster designed ventilation and heat recovery system. Ing. Dribin explained how this system has reduced their operating costs and paid for itself with the free energy recaptured by this intelligent ventilation system. She also discussed their program for using the Avida setters for SPIDES, the system to extend the life of the embryo by a rapid rise and cool down of the egg mass (ChickMaster offers the Encore system specifically for SPIDES). Las Camelias has had available setter capacity to perform this process on eggs in its regular Avida setters with great success.

o

The presentation showed the numbers to support how the process has worked to help extend the life of the embryos held for longer periods of storage.

Although the day was mostly dedicated to technical topics, ChickMaster also presented its solutions to meet the demands of the embryo and its development with a uniform and consistent process of incubation. The Avida Symphony setters and hatchers in combination with the unique CC3 or Aria ventilation and energy management systems offer a truly better way to obtain a Hatchery in Harmony. Ricardo Santanna, Latin American Sales, reviewed the different solutions ChickMaster has to offer working in different locations around the world.o

“The day went by very fast with many in depth discussions and questions by the attendees to our speakers”, stated Robert Holzer, President of ChickMaster. “I wanted to attend and participate in this seminar. It was great to see old and new friends and at the same time reconfirm our commitment to the Argentine poultry industry as well as throughout Latin America.” By the time it ended late on Friday afternoon, ChickMaster certainly showed its dedication and support to the Latin American industry that has been a vital part of its history for more than 60 years.
