Camp Calendar
AGES 2-3TWO, THREE, AND ME (with adult)This unique camp for 2- and 3-year-olds and their special adult is all about
learning through play. Explore music and movement, science, art, and
enjoy playtime in the museum . Each day is a chance to work on children’s
fine and gross motor skills, as well as bond with your little one.
FEEL THE BEAT NEW!
Feel the beat and be a rock star for the week! We’re jamming our way
through summer in an all-new summer camp focused on music. Campers
will make their own instruments and form their own band in this camp.
Plus, we’ll learn the science behind sound through hands-on experiments.
MINI FUN-DAMENTALS OF ARTLittle artists are invited to explore different mediums of art in a weeklong
camp that puts the fun in art FUNdamentals! We’ll get messy as we build
a portfolio of artwork, so please wear clothes suitable for art studio
shenanigans. Daily story time will help us explore the day’s theme and help
develop young campers’ early literacy skills.
MINI DINOSAUR SAFARI NEW!
In this all-new camp, we’re going on a prehistoric adventure without
leaving the museum! As official OCM Junior Paleontologists, we’ll explore
the summer exhibit, Dinosaur Safari, as we spend the week learning about
dinosaurs. Children will also investigate “modern-day dinosaurs.”
MINI JEDI TRAININGExplore the fun and science
of becoming a Jedi. We will
investigate robots, light sabers,
and space travel. We’ll work
on skills including teamwork,
perspective taking, and critical

MS. FRIZZLE’S MAGIC SCHOOL BUS NEW!
Imaginations will run wild at our
new science camp with a literary
twist. Lessons learned from the
“The Magic School Bus” book and
television series will come to life at
the museum in unbelievable ways.
Each day, campers will arrive at the
museum wondering “what will Ms.
Frizzle have in store for us today?”
MY PRINCESS DREAMEvery day is enchanting when
you’re learning to be a princess.
Creative crafts, etiquette lessons,
and plenty of singing and dancing
are all a part of this week-long
camp. There are princess visits
for an extra dose of magic for
campers. This camp is perfect for
little ones with big imaginations.
PET VET Young animal lovers, this is your
camp! We’ll spend a week learning about animals and how to care for
them. We’ll meet live animals, imagine ourselves as vets in an animal
hospital, and learn about our responsibilities to protect and preserve
animals’ homes.
SILLY SPORTS
Lace up your sneakers and get set for camp.
We’ve put a new spin on popular games and
sports for the zaniest week of fun at the museum.
Children will work on social skills while staying
active through play and friendly competition.
SUPERHERO SCIENCE NEW!
Know a super kid? Send them to this camp for mini superheroes. We’ll
learn the science behind fun superpowers like flying and X-ray vision.
Children will also learn about the character development and social
skills of famous superheroes, and learn the common superheroes we
encounter every day.
THOMAS’ KINDERGARTEN READINESS NEW!
All aboard! This train is headed to Kindergarten; are you ready to
join us? This weeklong camp helps preschoolers chart a course to
Kindergarten success, working on essential social and fine motor skills
in preparation for school.

NEIGHBORHOOD CAMP (Ages 5-8)
MINECRAFTOur popular Minecraft camp is back! Join us for a real-world Minecraft
adventure! Minecraft games
and activities will test campers’
creativity, dexterity and critical
thinking. We’ll explore STEAM
concepts by relating them to this
popular game. Don’t be a creeper…

SCIENCE QUEST NEW!
Grab your lab coats; we’re getting
an up-close look at the museum’s
most popular science shows – and
then trying some experiments
ourselves! Children will get a behind-the-scenes look at the museum’s
science shows, from the creative thought processes of programming one
to the science behind the experiments. We’ll test, we’ll investigate, and
we’ll learn in this exciting, hands-on experience found nowhere else.
SUPER SILLY SPORTSWe’ve put a new spin on popular games and sports for the zaniest week
of fun at the museum. In this camp, children will work on social skills while
staying active through play and friendly
competition.
TREEHOUSE ADVENTURES NEW!
If you ever wished you could take part
in the adventures found in the “Magic
Treehouse” book series, we’ve designed
the camp of your dreams. Let’s use our
imaginations to learn about history,
literature, and ancient cultures! In this
summer camp, we’ll imagine ourselves
in Jack and Annie’s treehouse, exploring
distant lands and different eras – all without leaving the museum!
CURIOUS CRITTER NEW!
Animal lovers, this is your camp! In this new camp designed for older
children, we’ll learn the biology of animals in fun, hands-on experiments
and animal-related activities. Campers get up-close encounters with real
animals during the week, as well.
DINOSAUR SAFARI NEW!

FULL S.T.E.A.M. AHEADOur popular girl-power camp is back with another summer of Science,
Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics exploration. We’ll expose
campers to famous women in the STEAM fields through hands-on
experiments and projects related to their history-making discoveries. It’s a
fun and motivational camp that proves girl power is here to stay!
FUN-DAMENTALS OF ART We’ve taken art camp and put a children’s museum
spin to it. The result is a super creative, incredibly fun
and more than a little bit silly week at the museum.
Campers will discover wonderful ways to express their
creativity in this summer camp, working with different
mediums including paint, clay and textiles. We’ll also explore big concepts
through art, like the science of color.
MASTER JEDI TRAININGSpend a week learning science and math concepts behind the Force and the
world of Jedi through exciting projects and experiments. We will investigate
droids, light sabers, and space travel. May the Force be with you!
MINDBENDERS NEW!
It’s not an illusion - the museum is now offering a camp that’s all about
brain games and the science behind them! Challenge yourself in a
weeklong camp full of riddles, brain teasers, math games, and puzzles that
will test your logic skills. Children will also put their imaginations to work,
crafting their own mind benders for their friends.
AGES 6-8
DINOSAURS Spend your mornings at The Rose and your afternoons at Omaha Children’s Museum! Travel back in time with us, as we explore the world of the
dinosaurs! We may be chased by a T-rex, run with a Triceratops, and reach above the trees with a Brachiosaurus. What kind of dinosaur do you want
to be? Join us in our adventures through the prehistoric jungle! Children will share their prehistoric discoveries on Friday, Aug. 1, at 3:15 p.m. in a

Please Note: Students will be at The Rose Theater from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and at Omaha Children’s Museum from 12:30 - 4 pm. Student morning drop off will be located in the Rose Theater lobby. Student pick up will be located in the Omaha Children’s Museum pick-up lane. Students will be escorted between The Rose and Omaha Children’s Museum, and they will be supervised during the lunch hour. Students must bring a sack lunch, drink, and snack to class each day. Morning care is available at The Rose Theater ($15) and afternoon care is available at Omaha Children’s Museum ($15).

AGE REQUIREMENTSChildren must be within the age range for each camp before camp begins.
EDUCATORSCamps are taught by trained and experienced museum educators. All museum staff have undergone background checks.
SCHEDULING & REFUNDSCamp space is limited and registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents will receive an informational packet via email prior to camp. Omaha Children’s Museum reserves the right to cancel camps that do not meet minimum enrollment. All camp fees are non-refundable, except in the instance a camp does not meet minimum enrollment. A $10 per child fee applies when switching camps or dates.
CAMP FEESWeek long camps are $120 for members and $135 for non-members. $10 early bird discount applies when registered by April 1.
BEFORE & AFTER CAREDuring this time, children play games, draw, read or participate in other activities supervised by museum staff. Before and after care is available for all of our summer camp sessions.
