Admission CriteriaAdmission to programs conducted by DYPDC is a matter

of privilege and not right. The medium of instructions

for all our programs is English. We focus on producing

high quality students, which means that classes are

small and entry is very competitive. Entry requirements

vary from course to courseWe admit applicants whose ability, training, motiva-

tion and interests indicate academic success. Prospec-

tive students must demonstrate commitment, maturity

and a readiness to work and grow in an educationally

creative environment. The prospective students must

share a passion for learning and demonstrate uninch-

ing commitment to succeed. To identify these students,

we have developed special admissions procedures. The

admissions process, gauges applicants potential for

success, identies creative students who will work hardand take risks. Our goal is to help you develop a personal

creative vision.

Besides the qualifying examination scores and perfor-

mance, we rely on the results of a specially created en-

trance process followed by a personal interaction. While

admitting a student, we are keen to understand the stu-

dents creative and analytical abilities, and assess the

applicants potential.

When to ApplyWe accept applications for admission between January

and July every year. The applications are considered on a

rolling basis, which means that each application is pro-

cessed as soon as it is received and an admission deci-

sion is made. However as soon as the numbers of seats

are lled-in, the admissions for that course; for that aca-

demic year are closed.

How to ApplyFollowing are the stages of the Admission process for

each of our programs:

1. Check the EligibilityThe eligibility for each of the program offered by DYPDC

is different and is based on the program curriculum. Be-

fore applying, check the eligibility for that program. If indoubt, feel free to talk to our Academic Advisors.

2. Obtain the Admission FormTo get an admission form click here.

If you have any difculty in downloading the admission

form, email your request along with your telephone

number to [email protected]. We will send you the

admission form immediately on receiving your request.

3. Application FeeThe non-refundable admission-processing fee is Rs.

2000 (Rs. Two Thousand only). Every admission form

must be accompanied by a demand draft of Rs. 2000 (Rs.

Two Thousand only) drawn in favor of DYPDC Center for

Automotive Research and Studies, payable at Pune.

4. Completing the Admission FormThe admission form is to be lled in its entirety and

signed. It should be lled in a legible hand writing in

black ink. The spelling of your name should be the same

as it appears on your ofcial transcript. Afx a passportsize recent color photograph on the top right corner of

your application form.

5. Entrance DocumentEvery admission form must be accompanied with a

completed Entrance Document. The entrance document

is the prime criteria for admission and should be well

attempted to increase your chances of getting into one

of nest programs offered by DYPDC. The completed

entrance document demonstrates your ability to think,

your analytical capability, creativity and ability to com-

municate effectively.

The blank entrance document format could be down

loaded here or could be obtained from DYPDC ofce.

Th e blank format is to be printed on A4 size paper

and submissions are to be made only on the printed

format.

All t he sketches (as and where required) should be

handmade works. You can use a pen, pencil, water-colors, and markers etc.

6. Attach your Ofcial Transcripts.

If you are applying for the undergraduate program, sub-mit attested copy of:

a) Higher Secondary Certicate mark sheet

If you are applying for the postgraduate program, sub-

mit attested copy of:

a) Graduation Degree/Diploma

If you are appearing for the qualifying exam and the re-

sults are awaited, then you can submit the mark sheets

of the earlier year or evidence suggesting that you are

appearing for the qualifying examination.

At the application stage, please do not submit any

original documents. Submit only photocopies. A respon-

sible ofcial must verify all photocopies as true copies of

the original.

7. SubmissionSubmit your lled-in application form, entrance document,

photocopies of ofcial mark sheets, photographs and Rs.

2000 application fee (as a demand draft drawn in favourof DYPDC Center for Automotive Research & Studies)

Await the decision from DYPDC about acceptance of

application for admission. The decision is conveyed to

the applicant within 10 working days of the receipt of

your application.

Presentation of your Entrance Document

Your Entrance Document must be neat and clean

The Entrance Document sheets are to be bound togeth-

er in a suitable manner

You should not roll up the sketches while sending

Pay particular attention to what is expected of you

and attempt accordingly

Submitting your Entrance Document

You can either hand-deliver the document or send

it to DYPDC via a courier service or speed-post in a

study package. The package size should be as close to

the actual size of the Entrance Document.

8. Personal InterviewIf the application for admission is accepted, the second

and nal step is to attend a personal interview with the

DYPDC faculty. Personal interviews are held on the 24th

of each month. If it is a Saturday or Sunday on 24th of

a given month, the interview is held on the subsequent

working day.

The interview purpose is to know the applicant betterand to gauge the passion & commitment of the appli-

cant towards the program applied for. Applicants are

encouraged to read through all the relevant information

in the program pages of this website. Applicants might

be given some small tasks to perform. The required ma-

terial for performing the given tasks will be provided by

DYPDC. There is no specic preparation required for this

interview. The personal interview is also an opportuni-

ty for the prospective student to interact the faculty &

admin staff and get answers to queries / doubts, if any.

9. Admission OfferOnce the personal interview is conducted, the prospec-

tive student is immediately informed about the admis-

sion decision. If the admission decision is positive, an

admission offer letter is issued on the same day of the

interview. If the admission decision is negative, the pro-

spective student is informed about the deciencies and

is given time to remedy the deciencies if deciencies

are of remedial nature.

10. Acceptance of Admission FormDYPDC and the student form a contractual relationship

when a student is enrolled at DYPDC. What follows are the

terms of that contract which the students accept to gov-

ern the mutual relationship, along with statute & with the

regulations & rules of DYPDC. On being offered an admis-

sion to a course at DYPDC the student will have to sign an

incomplete without the signing & hence is mandatory.
