Solutions for Analysis and Monitoring

Monitoring

SAM-MT 1000 is a cost efficient turnkey solution based on common

server- and interface hardware. It enables network operators to

monitor DVB-T and/or DVB-T2 broadcasts in the Head-end, at

Transmitter sites and within the Field.

Several multiplexes (8+ MPTS and/or DVB-T2 PLPs) can be monitored

simultaneously in real-time on a single device, providing a very small

footprint and both low CAPEX and OPEX.

The solution offers a wide range of use cases for each multiplex:

SNMP based monitoring of hundreds of parameters in real-time

visual confidence monitoring of all TV services simultaneously

in-depth remote problem analysis on all technical layers

Input RF - ASI - IP o also in mixed configurations o DVB-T2 Multi-PLP support

decontis.

◊ Application

(1) DTV + MDTV Monitoring Network Monitoring Probes SAM-MT 1000 receive the broadcast

via RF, ASI or IP. Hundreds of parameters are analyzed

simultaneously in real-time on all technical layers. The

monitoring results and alarms are sent via SNMP to the

operation centers. Additionally the Audio/Video content

can be transcoded and streamed to remote locations.

(3) Administration + Maintenance Network administration and maintenance staff can

access the monitoring probes via SNMP or via Remote

Desktop using the comfortable GUI. Beside all

configuration tasks also remote problem analysis can be

performed right in the probe’s powerful analysis GUI or

by capturing and streaming of TS snapshots to the local

desk. With decontis Analysis Solutions the TS can be

analyzed in any regard up to the last bit.

(2) Operation Center The Network Management System (NMS) running in the

operation center receives all monitoring results and

alarms via SNMP and visualize these for the operators

service staff. Any NMS can be used, however, the

decontis NMS provides a lot of unique features and thus

is qualified perfectly as central operator component.

(5) Status View A monitoring viewer application collects and aggregates

the monitoring status of all decontis monitoring probes

operated by one or several operation centers. It

visualizes the current status of all monitoring probes

within comfortable status views and map displays in a

read-only manner.

(4) Visual Monitoring Particular programs, the complete A/V mosaic wall or

even the entire monitoring desktop can be streamed via

HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) to remote locations. That

way visual confidence monitoring can be performed via

any device having a web browser, regardless on the

used OS – i.e. Tablet, PC, Smartphone, Laptop … using

Windows, Android, iOS, Linux …

Note: 1.The number of multiplexes which can be monitored simultaneously on a single machine depends on the chosen CPU, the actual content of the multiplexes, their

bandwidth and the active monitoring tasks. Especially decoding of 4k or HD videos using HEVC or H.264 codecs and related monitoring features seize significant CPU resources. In cases of heavy video decoding load the use of dedicated video servers running decontis’ mosaic wall is recommended.

2.All decontis monitoring solutions are based on common server and interface hardware, i.e. no special hardware is necessary. So also already existing hardware or hardware from your preferred local server hardware supplier can be used, if appropriate.
