Introduction

Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce is an automated integration tool between

Salesforce and QuickBooks, ensuring the transfer of the Contacts and Accounts, which were previously

exported from Salesforce, as Customers in QuickBooks.

The Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce application offered by Dynamic Ventures

supposes two distinct operations:

Exporting Contacts and Accounts from Salesforce Importing the Salesforce Contacts and Accounts as Customers into QuickBooks

This document provides information on the preliminary operations that need to be performed before exporting Contacts and Accounts from Salesforce; more precisely:

After have installed the application in Salesforce, from Setup Account Integration tab you can download: Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce User Guide: it contains details on the main

features and functionalities Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce Plug-in that will be installed in QuickBooks

Installation

There are several steps to follow in order to install Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce application: STEP1. Login

Go to http://www.salesforce.com/us/appexchange/detail_overview.jsp?id=a0330000004kIIoAAM and click Get It Now button:

In the new window fill in the required fields and click Submit:

Enter your User Name and Password, and select a role; click Continue: Note that only Salesforce administrators or 30-day-free users can install AppExchange applications.

Read the license terms and conditions, and check I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions, and agree to share my contact information with the AppExchange partner named on this page.

Then, click Continue:

STEP2. Examine package contents The following window will display the entire contents of the Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce application, namely: 1. the custom app: Account Integration by Dynamic Ventures 2. the first tab: Account Integration Feedback 3. the second tab: Setup Account Integration 4. custom link for exporting Contacts to QuickBooks: Export Contact to QuickBooks 5. custom link for exporting Accounts to QuickBooks: Export Account to QuickBooks

Click Next:

STEP3. Approve Package API Access Click Next:

STEP4. Choose security level Select a security level and click Next:

STEP5. Finish installing the application Simply click Install:

After a few seconds, you will be announced that the installation is complete:

STEP5. View package items To display Account Integration for use with QuickBooks and Salesforce app, select the Account Integration by Dynamic Ventures from the upper-right drop-down list:

In the next page the (A) Setup Account Integration and (B) Account Integration Feedback tabs will be displayed automatically:

(A) The Setup Account Integration tab contains the following: 1. a short description and the operation involved for using the application 2. the instructions for adding the custom links in your Contacts or Accounts page 3. the link where you can find the QuickBooks plug-in 4. the link where you can find the complete user guide for Account Integration for use with QuickBooks

and Salesforce 5. the Customer ID that will be introduced in QuickBooks

(B) In the Account Integration Feedback tab you can complete a feedback form and submit it; the only purpose of this feedback is to help us to improve our services and products and to deliver you the best possible solution:

Customizing the Account and Contact Custom Links NOTE: Before using the application, you need to customize the account and contact custom links more precisely, to add in your Contacts/Accounts page the custom links used for exporting contacts and accounts to

QuickBooks.

In both cases follow the Setup link:

For Contact Custom Link: 1. Go to App Setup -> Customize -> Contacts -> Page Layouts and in the Contact Page Layout window,

at Contact Layout, click Edit:

2. In the View drop-down list select Contact Custom Links and you will notice that Export Contact to

QuickBooks custom link has appeared in the Contact Custom Links area:

3. Drag-and-drop Export Contact to QuickBooks from Contact Custom Links area into Custom

Links area; click Save:

For Account Custom Link: 1. Go to App Setup -> Customize -> Accounts -> Page Layouts and in the Account Page Layout window,

at Account Layout, click Edit:

2. In the View drop-down list choose Account Custom Links and you will notice that Export Account to

QuickBooks custom link can be found in the Account Custom Links area:

3. Drag-and-drop Export Account to QuickBooks from Account Custom Links area into Custom Links area; click Save:
