DUŠAN

BackgroundWe came up with the idea after we created a Thriller presentation.

There's a lot of room for experimenting with ideas.

Through research we discovered that Psychological Thrillers would be more unique to work with and help us to focus on certain aspects of our opening sequence.

Dusan is a Psychological Thriller(Fictional thriller story which emphasizes the psychology of its characters and their unstable emotional states)

Throughout the film you will always be questioning: motives, personalities and even what the characters are experiencing. Also debating if the events are real or simply a figment of the characters imagination.

Genre

Dusan always mistook the images of the “spirit” as nothing more than a figment of his imagination until one day, his nightmare truly becomes a reality.

STORY

The story after the prologue revolves around the character Nathan who is desperately trying to find clues of the whereabouts of his missing younger brother, Dusan.

The first day of filming we will focus on recording all the scenes within the school.

The second day will focus all of the recording in the woods.

The third day will be an extra day if we need any additional content.

Filming Location

The only similarity between the two is that they’re both unknown entities.

early concept art for the “Spirit” The Spirit is inspired

by the Creepypasta “Slenderman”

The “Spirit”

SuccessWe believe we will be successful because we don’t follow the generic Thriller style.

The prologue will include a wide variety of camera shots to keep it interesting and fast paced.

We will be making the audience question every decision made.

We want to get the audience out of their comfort zone and feel for the characters and their choices.

Target

Character, Name + Representation

• “DUŠAN”, which means soul or spirit in Czech, is also the name of the character you see in the prologue.

• He is 16 years old, weak and poor, also he doesn’t have any friends.

• High-angle camera shots will be used to show how small & vulnerable Dusan is.

• Dusan has a brother Nathan who will be trying to find him throughout the story.

Our target audienceWe have decided to target it at 3 groups which people in society are grouped in:

C2 – These are Blue Collar workers, Plumbers, carpenters and carpet fitters.

D – These are manual workers who have an average pay and work in places like factories.

E – These are students and unemployed.

Audience Research• We made surveys to find research • We ran a focus group to finalise our

ideas
