DURONTM -E API CJ-4HEAVY DUTY ENGINE OILS

IntroductionPetro-Canada's DURON-E line of premiumperformance multigrade engine oils deliverindustry leading protection against the costlyeffects of soot - which can range fromincreased wear to lower productivity andimpaired fuel economy. They're formulated toexceed API CJ-4 requirements and are suitablefor use in the latest 2010 EPA compliant lowemission engines which employ advancedexhaust after treatment devices such as dieselparticulate filters (DPF) with or without dieseloxidation catalysts (DOC), increased rates ofExhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and SelectiveCatalytic Reduction (SCR). DURON-E heavyduty engine oils are suitable for use in enginespowered by both ultra low and low sulphurdiesel fuel. DURON-E is back serviceable andcarries the API CI-4 Plus, CI-4, CH-4 licensesrequired by pre-’07 diesel engines.

DURON-E is formulated from one of the purestbase oils in the world; the result of a patentedHT purity process to produce 99.9% pure baseoils. That purity helps maximize theeffectiveness of the oil’s soot controllingchemistry and high performance additivesystem. DURON-E is formulated to the highestAPI 4-stroke diesel and gasoline engine oilperformance standards and is suitable for usein extended oil drain service. Extending drainintervals should always be undertaken withgood operating practices and maintenanceprograms including a regular oil analysisprogram. DURON-E Synthetic 5W-40 provides excellentprotection and performance, especially in lowtemperature environments. It helps conserve energyand reduces engine wear through ease of cold weatherstart-up and lower viscous drag.

DURON-E XL 15W-40

DURON-E XL is formulated with a synthetic base oilblend and high-performance additives to deliverexceptional soot control and all-weather performance.Outstanding shear stability and excellent lowtemperature pumpability combine with the sootcontrolling formulation to deliver comprehensiveprotection to vital engine parts over a wide range ofoperating conditions. And because DURON-E XL keepsits fresh oil properties longer, it can help extend drainintervals (versus OEM standard intervals)* and reducethe need for top-up oil.

DURON-E 15W-40

DURON-E 15W-40 offers advanced soot controllingcapabilities. It also demonstrates excellent all-weatherperformance including dependable cold start-upperformance and exceptional shear stability,minimizes engine wear and oil consumption. Itdemonstrated extended drain capabilities (exceedingOEM standard intervals)* while subjected to severeservice conditions.

DURON-E 10W-30

DURON-E 10W-30 delivers advanced soot control, all-weather performance and is field proven to deliversimilar protection to DURON-E 15W-40. This oil canpotentially help increase fuel economy by up to 1%†. Itprovides CJ-4/SM performance in a 10W-30 viscositygrade and protects exhaust catalysts and filters.
